According to the rules, slams were allowed (for take-downs) ... just no slams to break a tri-angle or armbar ... As for the choke, rule number one is never grab somebody's back with both arms ... by doing so, you leave yourself open to this kinda choke. Just a small mistake that was costly. And yes, my Gi did rip and I broke my hand in this fight (not sure how). :-) Look foward to going next year to the Dutch Open -- all the fighters up there were very good!
