It runs perfectly fine on the GS2 now since all the updates. The problem though is still the sound, it sucks and it's why I wont bother playing until it is fixed.

fpse is number 1 and best ps1 emulator for android...btw what file format is your ffiiv..if you want the iso to be smaller use pocketiso to save you some space..just remember you have to have both img and index files in same place in orderfor it to work..i managed to shrink my final fantasy collection to a small 2gb (all final fantasy series games and alldisks)

@yogan2 It's not actually bad, I had the same worry at the start but you get used to it very quickly. Was running way smoother on my sgs2 too, not flickery like this vid.

Ich hab mal eine Frage zum Sound von dem Spiel: Als ich final fantasy 9 auf meinem Galaxy S1 gespielt habe, da war alles flüssig und der sound passte auch 1 zu 1 wie auf der konsole, aber bei ff7 stimmt der sound nicht mehr so überein. Woran könnte das liegen? und wenn ich mein handy quer lege ist die frame rate nur noch bei 40, obwohl bei ff9 die bei 60 war. wisst ihr vielleicht warum? ich habe nichtmal die einstellungen geändert und das neueste update von fpse hab ich auch..

Seems a little laggy on your phone, i get 100+ fps on my HTC Desire.. But i am using a custom rom, and my battery lasts 2 days ;D

Had a problem where the screen went black and then turned off again. The fix for this is you need an older version of PFse (0.10.28) works perfectly. A little slow for 2-3 seconds when going/leaving battles but other than that it's minty.

OK, Press you menu button. Select "settings". Select "Input". Select "touchscreen". Scroll down to 'Draw buttons' and select which buttons you would like drawn on the screen. (select+start, R1+R2, L1+L2 etc...)

@FurbyIover You ran FFVII on a PSX emulator using a Core i5 overclocked to 4Ghz and a GTX 560 Ti and you still had lag? Yeah, I admit to having a bit of trouble believing that. What emulator did you use and what are these 'bad settings'?

Anyway, the Galaxy SII is probably powerful enough to handle FFVII. If there is any lag, it is probably more due to an unoptimized emulator than anything relating to specs. Or maybe a dual core Cortex-A9 really isn't enough. Who knows?

Well it seens that even the most high end phones still cannot run 100% emulated games. It this my friends, drains your phone's battery like hell.

I'll forget about emulating other platforms on my phone and stay with the native games, wich are pretty cool!!

For PSX games i'ts easy just but a cheap PSP!!

I'm still testing some other stuff but FFVII runs with perfect sound on my galaxy s 1...

So, since the galaxy s 2 runs Tekken 3 full speed and perfect sound, I guess FF VII shouldn't be a problem.
