hello there, i need help with my final cut pro....I have edited my project in another computer before i saved the project and opened it on another computer. The thing is i only have the final cut session saved from the previous computer. Thus, the media files all went offline. So how do i find the media files from the previous computer? And if i found it, do i have to re-edit my video in the timeline? Thanks.
@93badfingers Your comment was posted 6 months ago so I don't know if you figured this out yet or not, but I'm almost positive that you would need to take all your clips from the original computer you worked on and transfer them to your new computer via external hardrive etc. You could also make the original file a quicktime movie and then transfer it to the new comp and continue editing there, but you will not be able to change filters or transitions that you made the first time easily.
Actually Final cut and Premiere are not good ways of green screening. What you should do to save time and make it look great is to bring it into After Effects, apply the chroma key effect. Adjust it a little and then add a Keylight effect on top of that. It completely gets rid of all the green quickly without any fuss.
From there you just render it out and bring it to Final Cut.
you ARE the final cut king! i am buying a lighting kit with a green screen soon. i would like to make a webcam style series in HD, a video like where that guy talks about the newest macbook pro or the newest imac on apple's site. basically i want to chroma key it totally white and sit in front and just talk and demo a product or a game.
@AlirazaVideoGames You might be better off buying just a white backdrop as opposed to a green screen and blowing it out a little. it will for sure be cheaper and way easier to edit. just a thought
@Tannerozzy I just figured it out! To be able to resize, you have to click the dropdown button with the square in it near the top of the canvas window and select Image+Wireframe.
AWESOME tutorial. Extremely helpful, thanks so much!!

Sure would be a lot easier to see what each effect was doing if you had the photo layer turned off. Green screen with the green trees?
vinnyverelli 8 months ago
hi, trying to remove green screen - there is a shadow behind the person - wrong lights - now the edges are very fuzzy - any way to fix this?

I would blur the background a bit to simulate a shallow depth of field
robgrauert87 2 years ago
yes, I agree. blurring the background would probably sell the effect even more.
