Man I just don't understand why this stuff isn't more popular. ATDI was arguably one of if not THE most influential punk bands of all time and they were big by most punk standards but were nothing compared to the commercial freight trains that rule the industry today. Difference being ATDI is fucking amazing and most of the bands in the latter category suck giant donkey boner. People have to be extremely brainwashed to look at these guys and NOT be inspired as all fuck to learn how 2 jizz gold.

I'm fairly certain this was 1998. I was at that show. Probably 75 people there but one of the most memorable shows I was ever at. Small schoolhouse outside of Geensburg, PA...a little town called Armbrust. There were a few anti-racism groups there and The Movie Life played. I'm pretty sure Dawson High played that night too. Go look up The Juliana Theory if you don't know who Dawson High is. ATDI was truly inspirational. Their energy was unreal.

I bet they would reunite for a tour to support there new bands (The Mars Volta, and Sparta) if they were paid enough, but in inter views Cedric and Omar who are now in the Mars Volta said that they wouldn't, and the other Sparta guys (I don't know there names) said there wasn't trust between them anymore and that they always felt young in that band. And in my personal opinion the guys from Sparta were holding Cedric and Omar back.

It's just not in Cedric or Omar to do so.

ATDI just went their seperate ways. And as fans we respected that and got left with Sparta and The Mars Volta. It would be nice to see ATDI play just one more show. But in reality the probability of that is not high.

All we can do is watch the past and remember ATDI as the great band it was.
