  • this hurts your scalp,right?

  • @basemadham Does root color hurt your scalp? Not at all sweetheart, if you mix the color correctly and don't mash the color into it:o)

  • Dear Carolyn,

I wanted to thank you for your video on coloring your roots. This was my first time and Im very happy with the results.

I went into your website and read your biography and was touched by your testimony. I am a Christian, wife, and mother of five (his, hers & ours). Also I am very active in my church (Im an Elder). I am also an elementary teacher. After reading your lifes recap I felt compelled to pray for you.

  • Absolutely love your tips here! Question... I was a salon queen every four weeks up until last year when I decided to try it my self and I've been hooked ever since... I get more compliments on my hair now than I did when I went to the salon... I know on the box of color, Loreal Preference in Golden Blonde, it states that you can touch up every 4-6 weeks.... well, I see my ugly silver roots after 2 weeks so I was wondering if it's safe to do just the roots every 2 or 3 weeks?

  • Ha lady, you are a Florida Sweety! You can do your roots as often as you like if your hair is relatively healthy. You may want to find a color that is formulated for gray hair if the color you use is not. Personally, I would never use box color. You will save so much money buying your own from Sallys. Right now, my hair color ebook is on sale til Christmas. Its a complete 2009 Hair Color Guide, with tons more info about hair color. Hope this helps! Carolyn

  • where r u now hope ur ok

  • Ha lady! I will be back very soon. I had a flood in my house and it was a mess. Then my son and I both got sick. Thanks for noticing me not around. I should be back on course by next week, maybe this week if I can swing it! XO Carolyn

  • I am sorry about the flood, hope ur doing better now and the flood did not do much damage

^_^ waiting for u to come back!

  • Its getting better now and only one more room to finish putting back together.

  • Ok, I added you as a friend. I'm not for sure that I did that right so, Let me know if not thank you !

  • Carolyn- I admire you tremendously... I don't know how you ever keep up!! Good luck with those allergies!! I've been battling them all my life. They're better in the fall for me at 46, but now I've kicked into some asthma too! It's always something! Happy Birthday to Lars, and good luck with all...xoC

  • Ha lady! Great to hear from ya! The ragweed out here is growing like forests, and all in full bloom. Unfortunately, I had to open windows and turn the A/C off. (save money) That brings pollen right into the house! lol Just a sign of the times we live in. Lars is doing just great! He is such a light! It makes all the extra work easier. I've had to apply to be his legal guardian and pay for it? Our society is all screwed up. lol Sorry to hear about your asthma! Feel better soon! XO

  • Ha Lady!!! Thx! I have been so inundated lately. Since Lars turned 18, (legally an adult now and because of his disabilities), I had all sorts of legal documents that must be completed. Stacks and stacks of them. Also, ragweed is awful around where I live and is giving me a fit! (worse this year than ever before) I added a forum to my site also and my other job got very busy too. I am running on empty! If I look tired, I am. lol Hope you are doing well! Miss you! XO

  • Nice seeing you back.

    this was informative.
