The non existence of a "released" version of LA Woman remains a mystery. MCA almost certainly has a tape of it because they released a few live songs from Anything on the B side of a 12" (I think). The live recording comes from the Hammersmith Odeon I think. The version they did of LA Woman at that time was magnificent. There's a strange compilation video using some "live studio" footage of them rehearsing this song.
I never liked LA Woman, even by the Doors even though I am a big Doors fan,
I think this is a far better song.
I remember Dave singing You're lost little girl at a Naz Nomad sound check. Believe me that was better than LA Woman !

This album was better than the previous. Very DOORS... Was at Finsbury when they did it.
I'm sure they premiered ( as spelled) : Anything Is Better Than This, A Girl Goes Down, Restless.
Gothic version of Plan 9 Channel 7.
WHY didn't they put L.A Woman at least as a B Side?
