my friend has golf vr6, it pulls hard but these german cars have way too many issues because his always gets fucked up (not engine issues but other parts). my experience with vw's is many electrical issues.
Dude go get some hockey pucks, drill holes through the middle and replace your stock motor mounts with those! That is what i do here in the US on my VR6's and it only costs about $12 to do 2 cars!!!!
I guarantee you will get more torque after you do that
And most of their engines don't push more tq than hp. I drive a 2000 Civic, 1.6L SOHC VTEC. It's not big at all, and my lawnmower sounds better than the car. At high RPMs, it's hysterical the way it sounds. There is absolutely no power in that car. and you say Honda has a bigger engine than the VR6. Yeah, in their SUVs and trucks. The Civic Mugen RR isn't even a 6 cyl, and that's a high performance car. And AGAIN, it doesn't push more tq than hp

Yes the civic is fwd and a 4 cylinder but its still faster than most V6 V8 from the factory. Yea sure u'll eventually get more power from the V8 but that purely down to displacement.
Japan/europ = Engines leave the factory in a higher state of tune.
American = Engines leave the factory in a lower state of tune.

i agree with the fact that jap/euro cars are better then ameri. but i wouldn't go as far as claiming they beat their V8's from factory. especially the new jap cars,the current production civics blow ass. japan is losing it in the car market. back in the day they would destroy anything on the road. my brother had a '87 MKIII supra turbo,it was blowing current production vehicles out of the water and it was all stock. I'd still buy jap before american though.
