  • I practice Greco-Roman Wrestlings or Olympic Wrestlings ... I started doing Neck Bridges since 8 years age ... at the beginning I remember that I was doing this exercises ... relatively medium hard ... but Not Only I do this exercise ... I think that You Need A Little Time To Get Used With It

    I Don't Say that it is a Very Easy Exercise ... maybe My Neck is Stronger Than Others because is Bigger ... but Not Every Time "Big = Strong"

  • @dro305 yeah it does. Look at Tyson's neck. These exercises are done so your neck is strengthened and this allows you to take a punch to the head without your head snapping back

    It is safe if you know what you are doing and you are careful. Any exercise can b unsafe id done not done properly.

    sometimes i use a .... dont know the name in english,, that latex think made to measure the pressure, around the head and walk forward with it grabbed in a tree

  • hmm i used to do something like this in Karate and when i was a Cheerleader. Except to multitask we'd work on the flexibility and do the bridge the RIGHT way. Pull your feet together and try to touch your knees together at the same time. Hurts like a bitch if you've never worked on that kind of flexibility.

  • well ive just tried it and it was fine kinda hurt my head a little bit though and my neck and torso felt a bit shaky , can feel how this one will build up neck muscles but I'll do it on a mat or thick carpet next time

  • I coach a team of 8-12 year olds in judo and they can stay bridged pretty much indefinitely. Small children can do this. Seriously. It isn't dangerous. It isn't difficult. I don't see why it's causing so much discourse.

  • That's good for your neck in the beginning, but it levels off. It will get too easy.

    Holding it longer is just endurance type stuff, I feel it more in the glutes than neck.

  • A strong neck acts as a good shock absorber. It means you will be able to absorb blows to the head and chin better. Y our brain won't rattle as much so you won't get wobbled so easy. Tis true, ask Jesus or B.A.Baracus!

  • what are you people talking about? all wrestlers greco/freestyle do these exercises at least 2-3 times a week and he did not show the part where you flip over. We did these in wrestling when we were 14 years old up to my early 20s and my neck is just fine
