Something I DIDN'T know and have just this minute found out, is that Supersonic did a Christmas Special in 1983. Would any one know if that was just a one off "Special", as I was always led to believe that Supersonic ended in 1977?
Supersonic, Series 1, had moved to Saturdays by Jan 1976, but then reverted to Mondays for Series 2, in Sept 1976, until moving back to Saturdays in Jan 1977. The final Supersonic was aired on Saturday 2 April 1977.
Supersonic aired on a Thursday and 4th Oct 1975 was a Saturday. David Essex performed Hold Me Close on the very first edition, which was aired SERIES 1
Show 1: (Thursday 4th September 1975) (following the pilot show of (Saturday 1st March 75). Hold Me Close was aired again on Show 5: (Thursday 2nd Oct 75), but this was the same as the Original Appearance in Show 1. Supersonic did move to Saturdays in 1976.
