Only the Elise in that group is sold in the US. Personally though, what's the point of the VX220 if it loses a race because it spins out? No thanks, I'll still take the Elise.
If the Forza Motorsport 3 game is any indication, Jeremy's right. The Vauxhall VX220 is the second most fun car in the world -- right behind the Ferrari FXX, which isn't a road car. :)
@wordhurler - maaate - i used to live 20 miles from Donny, he's a mildy amusing gobshite and thats a full on hair-metal Kev Keegan poodle, very effeminate. The sad truth is that a half commited bird in a white van kicked his arse round the Nuburgring - as a result he reccomends girls shopping trolleys to drive to the haridressers in - and he's scared to death of bikes. Nuff said? - I rest may case.
Nice vectra:-) where do you get that styling kit? LOL!! Cars that under-stear isn't a bad idea when you driving on ice Scandinavian roads.. You always know the cars limits without crashing sideways into trees.. On dry summer roads it maybe boring.. I have never used my car with stock suspension.. Maybe because the previous owner discovered that is was rubbish, and bought kyb gas shocks and vectra sport springs.. My golf2 had worse handling than my vectra. Maybe because it was worn out.
@vectraB97 i had a vectra and it had standard shocks and springs, only reason it never under-steered is because the anti-roller bar ends had been put on the strut instead of the bottom arm like most vauxhalls
Having owned both an Elise and a tvr. The reason I'd pick the Elise (not the vxr) over the tvr is purely down to the fact that I could get in the Elise and drive it every time I wanted to. Although the tvr was wonderful, it spent most of its life whilst I owned it being fixed
there is the difference between top gear and fifth gear: fifth gear takes cars to the track and race them and here we need to watch geremy retarded face and biased jokes. top gear sucks big time
I would like the tvr please as the other 2 are erm.... how can i put this nicely, crap! Also come on one it's a tvr, two it's gorgeous and three if you don't like the way it drives you are basically saying you have no driver skill what so ever and are scared you might scratch it when you loose the back end on a twisty road. :)
I race the T350C in the U.S. but I can only use it on the local track (Watkins Glen Raceway in New York.) I really wish the United States Government would ease up and allow cars like the T350C and the VX220 Turbo on the streets. The sad truth is, they probably never will. The loons in Washington don't know what a great car is, and i'm not talking about a Chevy Volt.
Such a shame TVR stopped producing cars. Peter Wheeler did an amazing job there, pity that Russian kid let things slip. Still, TVR as a company still exists (even the website is still online!) and a concept car was designed around the time the factory closed so when the economy picks up again we could see a rebirth of TVR.
I agree with this, while the TVR is fantastic, I think I'd still have the VX220, but maybe that's because I'm an American and here most people haven't heard of TVR or vauxhall, and TVRs scare me a little bit due to lack of airbags and, as shown in the video, a lack of tolerance for foolish drivers. (watch the video of clarkson crashing a GT3). I just feel like I would enjoy the VX220 more, and that's just my opinion.
TVR is horrid? Compared to what, the ubiquitous Elise which you'll see every damn day you go out, and a Vauxhall. A Vauxhall.
I'd rather have the handmade British TVR every time.
And all those who post comments about them breaking down. If you buy one and put it in your garage for 11 out of 12 months and drive 1k in it a year, yea, it might break down. Drive it well and often and it should be ok. Bear in mind it's a handmade performance car - things will go wrong with it!
are you on crack, LSD, or meth? Jeremy IS Top Gear... Jeremy will always BE Top Gear... End of story. He's brilliantly funny, and anyone who disagrees is just plain wrong.
@fusionconfusion But he's only funny if you're someone who agrees. And I know people who don't. I think he's funny as but tries a little hard every now and then. But nobody's perfect. :)

My stepsisters husband had a T350 and I used to work for Vauxhall, so had a very quick go in the VX220 Turbo.
VX220 is very basic, not particularly comfy, and you nearly break your leg everytime you get in it.
The T350 sounds like god shouting when you press the fun pedal.
I'd have the T350.
