We need so many more residential care homes in the IL area! They are wonderful options to fill the need between Assisted Living and Nursing homes. Small, warm, homelike with caring "family" to provide support and nurturing. I hope to see them grow in number!

Lower cost, lower caregiver /resident ratio and personalized care plan in a home like setting where the resident feels like a part of a caring family.

Residential Care Homes are also much more cost effective as well as a more intimate, family like environment with a low caregiver/resident ration. Specialzed needs such as special diets can be prepared.Pets and smoking outside are welcome in many cases.

Great for seniors who want a more homelike environment. Seniors have told me they are the next best thing to living in their own home, except they don't have to pay property tax on it, cook when they don't want to, or  worry about lining up someone to cut the grass.
