Great job on the first part..but when I think of Die Hard in an amusement park I think of 3 Ninjas High Noon At Mega Mountain..not good. And throw in more Bronson Pinchot than anyone wanted, it's a poor attempt at an action film, and it's fucking boring. An extremely disappointing sequel, and a waste of time.
Has anyone noticed that on Amazon.com, you can get Beverly Hills Cop I & II on DVD for $43.90 in total?, BUT, YOU CAN GET ALL 3 MOVIES IN A BOX SET FOR $16.49! THAT MEANS THIS PIECE OF OKEY DOKEY SHUFFLING, BILLY ROSEWOOD DRY AIR HUMPING, BRONSON PINCHOT CAMEOING, UNDER-TONED INSPECTOR TODD CUSSING, JOHN TAGGART DITCHING, UNCLE DAVE COCK-SUCKING, SHIT MADE THE BOX SET CHEAP! That is sad.
You know, I've always been confused about something. Siskel and Ebert disliked part 1 and 2 because I think they said Eddie was being so over the top. I mean there's a part in Cop 2 where he's holding a gun at a guy's head and tells him to rap with him and that scene made Ebert feel sorry for the guy being pointed at with a gun. Then when they reviewed Cop 3 they hated it because it was Eddie not being what he was in the first 2. So Eddie tried to give them something different and he failed.
Damn Matt thanks for the shout out. I love this movie to death. It was the first of the series I saw, and I grew up on it. That might be were all my love for this flick comes from.
I also liked Another 48hrs with the whole ice man concept sadly your right though. As the 80's ended ,Eddie's career declined. All in all though his movies are as memorable as anyones in that decade.
the thing with production costs that never takes into account advertising, so at box office (if that 80 mill was worldwide, it would have turned around 30-35mill profit depending on how much was sent on advertising) that said however with vhs sales, which being said weren't like they are now with dvd, but still a very large profit margin would have been made, at least 100% return.
Another 48hrs. is a decent sequel, the story in the movie, how it's presently editied, is confusing but the action is good and Eddie was still funny here. Boomerang is an underrated classic kind of more geared toward black people, Distinguished Gentleman I really hated and never cared for it. Cop 3 is a BIG letdown! Boring villain, flat comedy, and lackluster action scenes. Corny film!

"Quantum of solace" was like watching BHC3 all over again!! This is one of the worst sequels in film history.
