  • Thanks so much for this awesome series of videos. I was afraid to try this but now it looks "easy". One thing - is there any way you could add audio on video 2 from the 13:19 mark to the 14:something mark? It's where you're reinstalling the automatic tensioner and there's some sort of pin thing you're pulling... How does that work? I've heard that if you get this wrong the timing belt jumps some teeth...

  • Great Video! I do have one question i'm sort of confused about. After you lined up the Left Cam Side of the new belt the white and red line were inline with the T on the shield, but as you moved it to install the right cam side it seemed to be off away from the shield notches. Is that because there was enough tension on the belt to move the cams where it wouldn't change the timing? Sorry if I confused you lol. Great price on that kit too i'm buying it, everyone else wanted over $300!

  • You will move the cams a little as you install the belt. Just make sure, once the belt is installed the cam marks are aligned when the Crank is at Top Dead center.

  • Great lighting, Mike. Best video I've seen of this procedure, thanks.

It looks like the marks on the timing belt really help with positioning. Do you remove any sensors, like the CPS, before you take out the water pump, to avoid getting coolant onto the electrical contacts of the sensor?

  • thanks for the video...lovin it...seems as if you gave up at the end....what we youtuber's love is hearing it run.....also how to set the tension......thanks for the video's....

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: When installing the parts that seal with O-Rings, the waterpump and upper radiator hose neck, be sure the o-rings are not twisted and coat them with a little oil so they slide right in without pinching. Forgot to mention that in the video.

  • Very like the Mitsubishi Galant belt was there a pin on the adjuster that you had to pull out to release the tensioner , nice video.

  • Will be very helpful to many people. keep it up

  • cool
