I loved finding the lost world when I played it in 1996, it was sooo exciting! :) Just finished the (rather boring) GBA version with just 58% and didn't find the lost world, WTF! SNES >>>>> GBA :)

Always a classic. I think for me it goes DKC 2>3>1. It's a shame Kirby SuperStar and DKC 3 didn't get the attention they deserved when the N64 hit the market. I'm currently doing an LP of this game for my small group of viewers who might not have seen it before.

I thought 2 and 3 were fantastic. The only problem IMHO was the fact that it the title is DONKEY KONG Country, yet in 2 and 3 you don't get to play as him. I wonder why they didn't make him an unlock-able character of sorts after you beat the first K. Rool battle....

I also liked Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie....AND Donkey Kong 64, and so forth...But that's your opinion.

I personally like the entire DKC series and I'm still playing DK64 (which while different is still a fun game since I liked Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie I don't really mind it being a collectathon on steroids) anyways I know this one game is seen as the black sheep in the trilogy but I just went in expecting this when I was about to play DKC3: just a solid fun game which is what I got from it. Theres still some challenge the difficulty is in a level between DKC 1 and 2, still I'm having *2bcnt.

Donkey Kong 1,2 and 3 on SNES were the best games in the history of video games.

It sucks that RareWare split from Nintendo and we never got a Donkey Kong for Gamecube or Wii.

However Nintendo Wii is the worst garbage I've ever seen. The X-box playstation and Wii will never compare to the classic video games.

These newer games aren't even 1/100th of what the classics were.

Can't agree with you there. The SNES was the best console I ever had, until I bought a Wii, because not only do I play new games (113 Wii games currently) I can also play all my 100 GameCube games and play N64, SNES, NES and Megadrive in it, wich makes it with ease the best console I have ever own in my lifetime. =)

The last good Nintendo console was the N64. Gamecube never reached the level of the previous consoles.

Also I hate that Wii uses the motion thing. The N64 Mario Kart was a better version, so was Mario World.

Nintendo has dropped the ball by ditching screen scrollers. They were the best.

DKC2 is a better game in terms of just being fun to play (and challenging) but you can't deny the added depth to this game.

All three of the DKC games are beautiful to look at and listen to. They're a prime example of when style and substance really do work, and are a major source of nostalgia for me :)
