Turns out after years of raving and 'ahem' other pastimes, found out in me 30's I'm actually epileptic....(sorry, have epilepsy...yawn..political bollox for all you eppys like me with no humour) Who knew hey! Anyway never pinned as Photo, but you know what, I'd suffer the odd spack attack just to watch vids like this and old Prodigy stuff!!Top Quality
PS anyone remember the 'Acid Head Arnie' Videos - Even trippier than this!!!
Why don't replies show up attached to the comment you replied to anymore? Is anybody else having that problem? Yes, I am asking questions of teh internets.... shhhh..... sometimes it answers.
That's the point, I think. However, the sound of this remix perfectly embodies the era in which it was released. Also, prior to Hi Tech No Crime and The Orb's Technodon II and Tong Poo remix EPs a VAST portion of rave culture had no clue who YMO were. Now, 15 or so years later I actually own several of their albums. It was a genius move on their part, really.
Are you Mark Archer of Altern 8? If so, great job on this remix! In fact, I like this remix (although I'd rather call it a cover version) a lot more than the original "Multiplies".
Since there are already so many cover versions of "Behind the Mask", I'm glad you remixed/covered one of YMO's lesser known songs instead,
Don't quote me on this, but I believe there were multiple mixes (remixes) by all (or at least most of) the artists involved with Hi Tech No Crime that didn't make the release itself. Like The Orb's Tong Poo remixes.
This is a remix by altern 8. The original had a ska influence really lol. Trust me, they don't sound like this normally. Btw, just ordered tomita's 'Bermuda Triangle' on cd. Haven't heard that for yrs!
what kind of software was used to make stuff like this back in early 90s? h/w probably amigas or STs?

the song "Multiplies" from the album "×∞ Multiplies" by YMO, I really can't see the similarities with that song and this remix.

people were asked to pick one track - i wanted to do behind the mask but multiples was the only track left to do - which is why we did it :D

I thought the Hi Tech No Crime version was faster... and it definitely didn't have the Rakim sample.
