@Krakolio Which is exactly why the creators of the game don't want you doing this. Putting this much complexity on it also makes it easy for the game to appear random.
@pokechao196 Yes, exactly. The early Pokemon games had so many glitches and stuff. It's complicated for me because I'm inexperienced. EV training and IVs once seemed just as complex; this doesn't look like something I cannot handle. I'd be interested to know how this technique was discovered. For sure, the programmers wouldn't have wanted anyone to accidentally discover how to do this. Remember the Shaymin and Darkrai glitches in the Japanese Diamond and Pearl games (an accident?)?
i think i give it up i dont get it anymore i get more frame then one i am so angry that i dont get it but thanks for the advice maby i do it a other time no i dont give up the only thing i need is iv my average 3.97 is good because i tested it but it dont work so is my average good can i get please a asnwer for that you aalready saw my difference in seconds can you please check it one time ore do i something wrong??????
@Thejordyboy14 The average was your difference in seconds, which I went and calculated. Put that number in the little box in Emloop, and try the process of encountering again. With any luck, you'll hit the Frame you want to. Your main problem here is that the pokemon you want to catch is a low level, which broadens the IV Range and gives you more than one Frame. I suggest attempting this in a place with higher level pokemon no narrow down IVs and get your average Seconds, then going back.
i think i give it up i dont get it anymore i get more frame then one i am so angry that i dont get it but thanks for the advice maby i do it a other time
@Thejordyboy14 More than one Frame is not good. It means there are still discrepancies over what Frame you hit. Choose the one with the IVs that fit your IV Range. If they both fit, try finding a way to narrow it down more.
@Thejordyboy14 In Emerald, Method 2 is used for all wild pokemon that are not released/encountered while stationary. Those, such as legendaries, are Method 1. See Part 1 for more information.
@pokechao196 alright, and also, in order to find your shiny, does the shiny frame have to match the nature of the first spread you picked (Ex: frame 3269 calm; shiny frame 3577 calm)?
@darksword553 Only if you're looking for a specific Nature, in which case Synchronizers should be used. If you just want a shiny, use the first frame you get. You can also use Nature to determine what Frame you hit.
is there maby a code for visualboyadvance to change id i all ready have secret ID code but i have not a code to change to the id i want my id is 11213
@TwistedSquirtle That was the result of someone hacking my game. It doesn't have anything to do with the RNG process. However, if I had won the lotto that much, I would be overjoyed.
I've been doing a ton of research on this, and according to smogon, I sometimes have to use rare candy to calculate my IV's correctly? Why? A Pokemon's IVs never change. Once you've calculated them once, they should stay the same throughout the leveling-up process.
Is this true? Were you going for perfect IVs? Does that "rare candy" crap only apply if you're going for a perfect Pokemon? I'm constructing a team, so naturally I'd want Pokemon with perfect IVs... But I don't have much rare candy.
@Vanz180sx The higher a pokemon's level is, the more specific its IVs when put into a calculator. This is useful for checking if you hit the Frame, as it adds no EVs to it. In this video, I was only going for a shiny, so I would know when I hit the right Frame or not. Since you're short on Rare Candies, you can put in a pokemon's stats for a few consecutive levels(using the Candies) and you should get a specific enough IV range to see if it worked or not.
@pokechao196 Ok thanks. So, how many is a "few"? Like, 3-4? So if I get the same/roughly the same IVs after leveling-up 3 or 4 times, I should have gotten the desired spread?
@Vanz180sx It can depend, but around 3-5 levels of information should work well enough. Your IV Calculator should give you an IV range, so you can judge what Frame you hit that way.
Ok listen up. My earlierst shiny frame is 594 right and the first 3 shiny frames are serious, so i caught a serious abra w/synchronize but its hard hitting that frame so i tried to aim for frame 16148 but there is another serious nature which is 10 seconds before so i keep getting that frame. I need to be faster but if i aim i will miss the frame and that frame is 4 minutes long :( the one after is 6 minutes to long for me...
After about 5 million tries, I found... nothing. It seems to work though, but you must have superninja skills to reset and Sweet Scent exactly at 0:00. Well, it is definitely worth the trouble, but it's annoying after a whole day of pointless searching.
@LeafGreenHD You must have a shiny pokemon found in that game. I suggest using DrDimentio's Finding Your Secret ID video if you decide to try and find one. If so, good luck.
Would the time of the oddish cry and the sweet scent animation always be 5.5 seconds? Will it work if i just got my shiny frame, put it in emloop, deduce 5.5 and try to be as exact with timing as possible? .. I didn't really get the thing with those boxes needing to be more or less in part 1 of this guide...
i have a question, i speak spanish but i undestand very well the english, now thw point is that what means "Target Frame" i supose that is the frame for a single "catch" or pokemon in this case bagon, or i'm wrong? because i can undo that this "Target Frame" will work always and the dalay of sweet scent, bla bla, obviously the "Target Frame" comes from my ID and SID... Another question is that is necesary to catch by your own a shiny and level it up to lv100 for know the SID? or are another way?
@kratosaurion121 I mean that if exist another way to optain the SID legaly? XD without AR, GS or PokeSAV? and really i need to know if the target frame works for all tha pokemons or is one frame for one specific pokemon, >.< i need a guide ¬¬ this is so helpful but someone know the spanish version of this tutorial?
@kratosaurion121 As long as you can determine the SID from a shiny from the game, you can get the SID. And sorry, but I don't speak Spanish, so I can't give you a Spanish version of this.
@MrPorygon1 I've used these links and downloads for a while, now, and no harm has come. They are safe. You need to download RNG Reporter for this to work.
Wow, this is complicated!

@darksword553 That's just the beeping timer at the end. I didn't want to wait 10 seconds, so I shortened it to 5.

@TwistedSquirtle I believe Ruby and Sapphire use a different RNG, so this particular RNG method won't work.

@pokechao196 Yes, but I heard somewhere that when the internal battery of RS turns dry their RNG becomes identical to that of Emerald.
