This is a great thing you guys are putting together.I am african-american and I think this needs to be seen.BET,TV ONE or the CENTRIC channel are some avenues you may want to check out. Even though they are african-american based it would be REVOLUTIONARY to collaborate on a project like this and bring all of us that much closer together.By the way the name of the woman who runs TV ONE is Cathy Hughes.

Oye -have you tried BET but they are run by Whites now pero they may still be interested in this story. Or as a second choice CNN. They did Latino in America but it was so white washed that there was like one Afro Latino family in it. JLO is a film producer now but to me she doesn't identify personally with her African roots. If there were some big money in it for her she prolly would. Ay Dios Mio - what about Rick Martin he has publicly spoken on Oprah about being proud of all three cultures?

Take this to BET. I would hazard that they would not consider this important enough to view. It depicts an aspect of the story that is for most Afro-Americans unimportant.

To a large degree it is because most Afro Latinos identify as Hispanic and distance themselves from their African heritage. As well, the Spanish persecution of South American indians and the systematic extermination of the slaves, both native and extro-American gains little traction. It is more dramatic to point the finger at the U.S. and since the U.S. has a louder voice globally, U.S. citizens are more widely heard. The Spanish killed and enslaved on a global scale. It has come home to roost.
