@mahavishnuxc Correct, I am under 24; 13 to be precise. Humbug is good, no denying that. But remember there are only four albums, all of which I have heard more of and liked more than humbug. Bare in mind I have only heard humbug in complete like once. I grew up listening to Whatever people say and Favourite worst nightmare. I don't know, maybe if I properly listened to it, I would prefer Humbug. I Doubt it, but maybe.

Whatever People Say: loud pop songs, no diversity in sound. lyrics about teenagers roaming through england. This album appeals to teenagers.

Humbug: A dark psychedelic album, music is very diverse. Lyrics are much more poetic. serves a higher purpose than just catchy pop songs.

Suck It And see: Psychedelic pop songs, lyrics are diverse; though some lyrics often feels a bit uninspired. but appeals to a wider audience.

@mahavishnuxc The thing is with Whatever People Says is I was 17 when that came out, just about when I started to appreciate and get into music and instantly fell in love with the band. I too thought they got much better with each album and their sound is fantastic nowadays, especially if R U Mine is anything to go by!

But believe me. Seeing them at Don Valley Sheffield last year reminded me just how much i loved that album

YES, you are the definition of mainstream. Whatever People Say is so overrated, it contains a style of music that you will find in every single Indie band. of course it got more attention because its brainless pop music, ie. catchy.

The music of Humbug is a sophisticated album. more intellectual, more abstract and artistic... meaning that teenagers like you wont understand it. you'd rather hear the same pop shit over and over again because its catchy and fun.
