Mary never went to Ephesus. That was only a legend first introduced by the Ephesians in the 4th century AD, to give themselves more prestige as a centre of Christianity. All the early sources say she stayed in Jerusalem. And this particular house is a fraud, it's based on fraudulent 19th century book by Clemens Brentano, written about the visions of a 18th century nun.
After the Jesus' crucifixion, burial, and ascension into Heaven, His apostle Saint John took Mary into his home and cared for her until her death and assumption, body and soul, into Heaven.
