Thank you for the best beginner ham radio videos on YouTube. You are informative and professional while remaining interesting. My favorites are the 6 meter series. I'm building a 6 meter Yagi.
I've ordered an FT 857D, and am anxiously waiting for it!
Hi Randy 2009 was a very depressing year with no K7Age videos,I love your videos and I have watched every one some multiple times.I sure am glad you are back and please keep up the good work.
Welcome back Randy! Any chance on February 20 of carrying the youtube on-the-air event down to 40 meters after the 20 meter portion? I would love to make contact with you and seeing how I live just down in the Sacramento Valley from you, I think we will skip over the top of eachother. I am in Yuba City. Thanks and keep up the great work!!
Great video as usual Randy! I've been a ham for 5 months now and your videos have really helped spur my hobby on. I especially like the sat videos. I have really enjoyed that facet of the hobby. I'm beginning my general class soon and I wanted to know if you could post a video on how to build a wire dipole for hf. Maybe 20 or 40 meters. Thanks for your help and videos. Your a great asset to amateur radio!
im realy gona try and make daton this year and i still haven't figured out how to use echolink i guess vista doent like it.. if you know how to fix it within vista or do a vid of showing how to do it that would be awsome thanks
That SX-71 you got there looks just like an old receiver that my grandpa has in his shop. Probably the same model! When I first got my Novice ticket I would listen on it. That was like 10 years ago, I believe it still works. Hope to be on the air for the Youtube meeting.
Randy, Thanks for the recent videos. I enjoyed the shack cleaning. Seems that you too notice the dust only after you move something. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Randy for sharing you passion and your talents. I have just acquired an old 10 meter Kenwood TS-511 and am considering trying it out. I live in an apartment and need an antenna option. got any ideas?
@kmikesell I was raised in a hutterite colony in the midwest, where this hobby was taboo, and Dad "bless his heart" had our ranch house attic packed with antennas, there was dipoles stretching from one end of attic to another, a 2 meter antenna for the repeater 50 miles away, you would be surprised how effective they performed inside an attic, he worked many different countries on HF...which was a fascinating break from the monotony of this lifestyle, "which I abandoned at 16...good luck
Hi Randy, Glad to see you are back and look forward to seeing you at the Dayton Hamvention this year. I'll be with the HF Pack guys at noon Saturday outside the Hara Arena plus the IOOK guys. 73 Bob N6BOB
Randy, As usual another good video that is valuable to hams and swl"s alike. I tried last years "on the air", but could not hear YOU. So far this year the 20m band is looking pretty good from northern Ca. to my location, so hopefully I will be able to work Your station. Keep up the good work Bro. Alan N6TUA
Great video Randy! Have been following you for about a year now on YouTube. Really enjoyed the video on PSK31. I am a tech class ham and my call is KB3HEY. I do a lot of monitoring on my Icom R75. I will tune in on 14.270 come February 20. Sure would be great if you did a video on SSTV. 73's KB3HEY
Excellent video quality, nice that it was short and to the point, too little on the older receiver, too much on self promotion. Good use of character generator. Nice background.
Keep those videos coming Randy, doubt if I can make it onto the "on the air meetup" not much of a HF station here. It will be Sunday morning here 08:00 local time. You never know but the band may open.
Thank you for making the vids again. The K3 is a fantastic rig and I look forward to more info about it and maybe watching you use it in different situations.
Hey Randy, Great to know we should be seeing more video's! When you came to England you where only down the road :) 30 miles south. In Norfolk I live in east Norwich. I hope you enjoyed your self :)
by any chance you do know any plans for making a computer interface for CW transmission through a computer to make a stationary repeater? I hear a great deal of CW on the 10 meter band in my area.

Hi, I'm not going to make an Echolink video. Most problems are due to firewalls, DHCP, and IP routers, and I don't want to become the "expert"!
