But this phone does have Instant messaging. You can download an App for it called Mobile IM and it consists of MSN msg, AIM msg, and Yahoo msg. And it also has Social Beat that consists of apps for Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Talk, and Gmail. And last but not least it has Mobile E-mail. I'd say this phone is pretty good for the buck!

Yes, I have been on youtube with this phone before..it kicks ass. When one of my friends talk about something they saw on youtube I can pull it up right then and there..It gets me thumbs up with my friends and its great to access the net anytime you want.

I have this phone, it is excellent, it has a great camera, and browsing the web is ok (not great, but works well). Touch screen is a bit touchy, use a stylus when accuracy is needed. The Verizon package that comes with it is spectacular. All and all I give it 5 out of 5 stars.. I plan on keeping this phone for many moons.

Turn the phone on its side and push the camera button. It will activate camera mode. Push the button again to auto focus, push the button again to take a picture and push the same button again to save the pic.

Hey i'm thinkin of getting the dare.. but i also need a digital camera, can anyone tell me if the camera on the dare is decent enough to be a substitute for a (cheaper) digital camera?? I wont be taking landscape professional photos with it, just casual and everyday shots... thanks ;)

I have an LG Dare, and its camera has great quality; however, I wouldn't say that its decent enough to substitute for a digital camera. The camera on the LG Dare is good for casual shots, my only complaint is that there is no zoom adjustments on it while taking pictures/videos.

There is so zoom adjustments, you just have to mess around with the resolution, i recomend the highest resolution.

Hi Kaing, My digital camera is a few years old, and it only has a 3.2 megapixel lens. Since I haven't had the 10+ megapixel type of camera, I have nothing to compare it to, except that my last phone only had a VGA camera (about a half of a megapixel at best). If you're like me, I think you'll be happy with the quality of the Dare for your casual photo shooting. I like my phone a lot!

ive had this phone for 6 months and its so-so.touch screen gets worse over time even wit calibration.texting is a pain n spend more time deleting wrong letters than entering right ones.browser is ok but many times have to tap the exact spot several times for it to register.haptic feel is useless if it doesnt read what ur trying to do.camera,call quality, personability,removable sd n battery life all good but bad txting,browser.u can use Handbrake to put movies on an sd n play on it which is cool
