I love the later ramones songs like this, pet cemetary, howlin at the moon, i wanna live and bonzo goes to bitburg. This just proves that they adapted and still made some good stuff well into the 80's.
This song is absolutely brilliant! It sends a powerful message to the lives of struggling people. People who are afraid to believe in themselves and see past their insecurities. You shouldn't have to feel afraid to follow your dreams. It doesn't matter what some scumbags out say to you or what they think about you. You are in charge of your own destiny. Fuck whatever the mean-hearted bastards have to say about you.
@tmbgsaxmatt What the funny thing is... I consider myself a bit unconfident. But when I listen to this on my ipod, I feel like I could take on the world and erase all my problems. This is just amazing. When a song transcends just rhythm and melody but also shoots out an emotion that is so strong I instantly changes your view of life. Lots of songs change your mood but this song surpasses even that for me :) RAMONES FOR THE WIN :D
