When an idea is proven wrong, then wise people reject it. Behaviors that might have seemed reasonable hundreds or thousands of years ago would, and should, appear ridiculous today. I'm not an atheist, and I've voted for people of varying religious views.

Some kinds of religious faith are vague and nebulous enough to be unfalsifiable. But others faith are clearly and indisputably WRONG, and people who subscribe to ideas that are blatantly incorrect show a glaring lack of intellectual integrity. Those are the kind of people I do NOT want in positions of political power.
