  • Sooo pretty.. I luv it!

  • You really have some mad makeup skills. It's absolutely flawless! I was reading the comments, as a Mexican American myself I understand both sides of the argument. Everything about this holiday is beautiful, colorful, and full of culture that ages back to our Aztec roots. I enjoy seen others having an interest on our culture simply because it is acceptance. Yet, it may be the fact that day of the dead is misused and used as Halloween costumes that bothers those who grew up with this tradition.

  • Check out our costumes. "Halloween 2011 Hobo's Portland"

  • ?!

  • i think its funny how much white people hate mexicans but they go on and do this, talk about not having any culture....

  • @192979 What?

  • @192979 Don't say that, that always depends on the person.. ;) i think it's funny..how easy mexican people like you, judge us ''white'' people this easy.

  • @192979 White people dont hate mexicans. and btw dia de los muertos doesnt belong to one culture, its spread and shared to anyone to pay their respects to lost loved ones :) .............. GREAT ARTWORK

  • @192979 Its nice to see hispanic culture being spread... if u ask me it sounds like you dont like white people

  • so is the white powder??

  • well done!

  • @lulubellsnz

that's so rude. there's no need for you're immature comment. why don't you grow up and take a look at yourself before you try to make someone else feel bad.

  • @kimmycup22793 I can't even grow up yet im not even 14 bitch

  • @lulubellsnz Wow! I hope mommy takes your computer away!

  • @lulubellsnz mommy didn't put enough chocolate in your milk?

  • @lulubellsnz Your comment is inappropriate and shows a side of you that is ugly beyond words. There is nothing wrong with her appearance. With that I will only say, spend your time learning how to spell and use proper grammar instead of trolling on people's videos.

  • @msfistfightsvsfences Well it shows and ugly side you just are ugly so fuck off and dont tell meoff and still get liposuction and she needsto go to makeuo school its fukin ugly

  • @lulubellsnz you're a horrible speller.

  • @lulubellsnz good one

  • Great Job... the detail is awesome... you made it look elegant and not tacky :)

  • i love it very nice, dont listen to those people that say you cant do this because youre not Mexican, I love the fact that other people not of a Mexican backround appreciate our culture.People like S1MS23 just make us REAL Mexican's look bad.

  • Dia de los muertos can b celebrated by anyone..... Because everyone has had someone close to them pass away who they miss dearly. Whats important is that they remember their loved one, if they choose to do it via dia de los muertos, then we should b honored, not outraged.

  • You do.NOT have to.be MEXICAN to wear the makeup or celebrate it. I AM.WHITE. but I lived in mx for.several years an.still celebrate...none of my mexican.friends have ever.told me NOT to.becauase im.white. Geez. This is,a,make up tutorial.,stop.taking it so.serioualy

  • I wonder if that took forever to take off.

  • How did you get the white chromacake so opaque and look so creamy? I have had my chromacake for years and haven't played with it much because I don't really know how to use it. Wonderful video!

  • Shes got mad brush skills and Mexicans please stop telling non Mexicans to back off Dia de los muertos it makes us all look bad when you do

  • wow this is brilliant! thanks i really needed a great tutorial so i could do this for my wedding photos!

  • I think that you should look at this as a compliment. It is beautiful and ill be doing it to myself for my next event!!!! Hottness....

  • @S1MS23

Yeah but what about all those people that wear kimonos or have Native American tattoos on their arms and they aren't from the country where those things originate from? This person just enjoys the beauty of Dia de los Muertos and it's traditions and you're telling her to not do so. Why would you do that when there's more horrible things out in the world?

  • Comment removed

  • @S1MS23 Ignorant ass comment and I'm a Mexican myself. You should be GLAD this person is appreciating our culture and is expressing it through her work, jerk.

  • @EatMyBananaPlease

    well said

  • @S1MS23 they dont deserve it?! WTF

  • @S1MS23 Funny that your profile says you are in the United States. Maybe you should move back! Dont bash someone who is celebrating your Mexican tradition in a positive light when you are living in America.

  • @S1MS23 i'm Mexican and i'm glad that these videos are up. now i know how to do this on my own face cause i sure wasn't born knowing how. i didn't grow up in a Hispanic home so this is really nice for me. and she put the history of it in her description that's awesome! now i know a lot more about it, i like learning. also imitation is the best form of flattery.

  • dope

  • This is amazing! Now I just have to find an excuse to wear it our somewhere!

  • I wasn't sure if I liked Sarah after the first several videos I watched of her, but after this one.....I must say, I am not worthy!

  • Absolute perfection! Thank you for this awesome make-up video ^^.

  • *Día de Muertos

    Not Día de los Muertos

  • awesome

  • I'd hit it

  • i actually dig the music..very ambient..who is it please? sounds a bit like Rabbit in the Moon.. But Btw awesome video..I do alot of sugar skull (dia de los muertos) tatt's but this is amazing..great ideas!

  • @1BattleAngel The idea came from a Sylvia Ji painting. You should check em out :)

  • I wish you talked through it like normal.... :(

  • @morph146 it was 13 plus minutes speeding through it, so it would have probably taken half an hour to make the video her normal way. Though i agree instruction is always nice.

  • absolut cool ! Super ! XD

  • Ok it's official this is the best video ever!!! Your sugar skull kicks ass!!!

  • COOL!

  • that was amazing!!! :D

  • i did this same look on my neice haha it took forever

  • Thank you very much!!

there was a Halloween party in my house and I didn't have any costume, so I followed your tutorial (at least I tried) and I did something Frida Kahlo-ish to my hair and it was a real success! everybody loved my makeup and it looked so different from all the other zombies and devils. <3

  • Amazing!

  • Dear God...that's PERFECT.

  • I have done a trial run on this, but am having problems with smearing. How do you set the base?

  • What white color (face) base-Paint brand are you using? Please let me know =)

  • @Beloveable925 lol she wrote it !! Anyway, she used MAC's chromacake - it is a pro product. In other words, good luck xD

  • Please please tell me how and where you got the makeup. I'm going to be doing this and I can't find anything thats actually quality. I need it in a couple of days.

  • @CmAiTkHeY You can't really give credit to just one person. People have been doing this for centuries and everyone else has their versions.

  • nice

  • This is brilliant and I am amazed at the detail you achieved with the makeup. You did a fabulous job. I am going to attempt this for Halloween this year and I couldn't be more excited! Fabulous job. The green is so vibrant!

Does it last for long periods of time? My eyes are very deep set and I have issues sometimes with eye shadows rubbing off around the creases and folds of my eyes.

Once again, great job! I love the shading you put in around the eyes. It really brings the whole thing to life.
