WAY easier to just buy some off ebay or a website. They work better and cost about a buck each. The ones i just received have no wire in them at all only bamboo (thin like incense sticks) Totally biodegradable. Going to set a bunch of them free on New Years Eve! SO MUCH FUN!! People like to talk shit about these because they are sad fearful souls....Try having some good safe fun for once before you go on a legislation warpath....geez!

For those people who say it is a fire hazard. Don't be an idiot and light it in windy or unsafe conditions, use common sense. The balloon ascends....the fuel cell burns out, and the paper bag descends somewhere safely. There are a zillion times more fires and damage caused from fireworks each year. Sky Lanterns are extremely safe and anyone who says otherwise is not speaking from experience. Some people want to outlaw everything.

before i light my fuel cell, i PREHEAT my sky lantern with a simple propane torch until it starts to float then i light my fuel cell so it can gain more altitude beside wasting 1 minute of burntime from the fuel cell, it works great
