Your hypothetical "bright conditions where no direct light" almost can not be encountered in real life. On video you can see - you see mirror like surface instead normal display.
@smirnoffjr2 I am sorry to disappoint you, but you should have made a quick research. Glossy displays in extremely bright conditions where no direct light is facing the screen, are better for reading text. I guess your anti-fanism of Apple made you not think before you act?
