lol this just reminded me of the first time I was playing re4, you know when you come to the merchant? I forgot to kill some of the guys at the back so when I was done with the merchant and killed all the guys at the front I came back to the merchant to sell some ammo and then I turned around I saw like 10 guys with weapons waiting to kill me! I just killed them with the striker and when I turned the merchant was alive and just watching me.... and I wondered that y the hell didn't he die?

u know when u come across merchants right? how do u know which items to sell and which not to sell? like if u have something important in ur invantory and then u come across a merchant, and u forget that u need that item, does the game tell u that u can't sell this item or can u sell any items in the game?

You probably figured this out by now, but you can't sell key items. So you can't sell them. However, you can sell items like the elegant mask before all the jewels are in it, so don't.

really? i completed it with a red9 with no upgrades, shotgun with 2 upgrades, broken butterfly (i found in castle) with no upgrades and a rifle (JUST to kill the regenerators) then i sold it and i earned 1,000,000 pesetas at the end of the game. some story eh?

It's probably just his play style. He buys what he thinks he needs. This game really isn't hard at all so you don't need every gun imaginable. When I first played this game I went through the hole thing with only the original pistol (upgrading on the way of course) and shotgun(same until I bought the striker or riot gun whatever). Never used the rifle or anything else. It's not needed unless you really want to see what they're like.

You can still kill them without the rifle. A rifle definitely helps with them, though, at the time I was playing I didn't know a rifle would help so I was killing them the hard way. I'd say if you were going to buy any gun besides a pistol and shotgun it should be the rifle. Plus you can avoid most regenerators.

LOL the best way to avoid snakes in the crates is to shoot the crates instead of breakng them with knife. Because if u break it with knife boom snake hits u. If with gun ur further back and ur ready if a snake appears.

there's no need to waste ammo though, if you open a crate just keep knifing and if there's a snake it will kill it and leave a healing egg.
