  • I've had five Cavaliers over the years - they are simply indestructible. I just found an '85 wagon with 30K miles on it. I can't wait to drive it this summer !

  • "An interior that comforts your very soul" So I guess GM thinks we have souls like hard plastic that cracks very easily.??..

  • Holy fuck these old commercials are seriously overkill.

  • I have a 85 cavalier type 10. it is my favorite car and still runing.....

  • @chivafelipe75 lol i have the z24 version. It's pretty crap to be honest.

  • @chivafelipe75 Ohh nice! I Liked those. I Have a 1985 buick skylark and a 1987 chevy nova. Did you buy your 1985 cavailer New in 1985?

  • the 1982-1987 Chevrolet Cavalier was assembled in

    Lordstown, Ohio, United States

    Lansing, Michigan, United States

    Janesville, Wisconsin, United States

    Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, Mexico

South Gate, California, United States (1982 only)

    Kansas City, Missouri, United States

  • This is stupid, but really no more stupid than today's advertising that convinces everybody they need to buy a better car than their neighbor has.

  • wow it looked like a piece when it was new what was chevy thinking in those days

  • Cars were so cool back then...

  • @lcfanyc Ik! they were all classic and stuff but now theyr too plain

  • Laugh all you want, that was back when Chevrolet could MAKE a car... I have had an 87 4-cyl Square Body 2 door, a 1989 Z-24 (parts car), a 1990 Z-24 (IT WAS AWESOME) and currently have a 1997 Z-24... I'd have loved to have an 87 Z-24, but the 1990 Z with the 3.1 v6 was EPIC... got 400 miles to a tank on highway trips, had 278,000 miles when I sold it (still running) and would do a wicked burn-out... My 1997 is no where near the car the 1990 or 1987 was...

  • barf

  • Bought one new and drove the hell out of it. Took care of it and probably would still be driving it if that ford bronco hadn't rear ended me. Mine was red Type 10 2 door coupe.I Absolutely loved it and never had any trouble the ten years I drove it.

  • i have a "86' cavalier" for sale right now, I uploaded a vid of it on here, check it out

  • I had to return it when it didnt actually comfort my soul like they claimed.

  • that blonde lady with an afro mustve heard a funny joke or something .

  • @underlinedbluetext Yeah, and it gos something like "Plus, an interior that comforts your very soul!"!!!!!!

  • b#tch is HOTTTT !!! at 17 seconds!!!

  • My dad had an '85. What a turd it was. He hated that thing.

  • Holy shit, now I seriously want this fucking car!

  • Love it!!!

  • i saw a Chevrolet today for sale it was a 85 for $200 and i couldn't figure out if it was a cavalier or a celebrity

  • Narrator: todays cavalier has the electronic power to make you wanna burn that piece of shit and dump it on a lake.... plus an interior that makes u wanna throw up your soul and die of a heart attack...kick that cavalier that fists your ass and gives you aids...(for those of you reading this dont get offended lol i was just making fun of the old cavaliers) ps i HAVE A 2003 CAVALIER

  • "An interior that comforts your very soul" That interior looked kinda boring....

  • My 85 type 10 standard has bee in the family sincce 84... it is a very reliable little hot-rod i can park it for years and it will start and run smoothly N-e TIME... AM PLANNING TO PIMP MY RIDE SOON I LUVE HER!

  • Don't get me wrong I love my cavy... but I dont think the interior "comforts my very soul!" Hmm maybe it's because I dont have the 1985 cavalier? LOL

  • My first car was one of these things O.o

    A black Cavalier RS coupe...

Though no longer mine, its still running strong!

  • This commercial is so cheesy its acutally cool.

  • We had a 1986 Cavalier as a rental probably back in 1988 and it was horrible. Vinyl seats!

Mind you, it probably wasn't taken care of very well.

I remember it being very noisy (2.0L TBI four likely with a three speed automatic box).

  • The memories!! My second car was a 1985 Cavalier RS.

  • I'm an overall j-body guy, so I love these old Cavis. I miss my '85 Cavi Type-10 'cuz that car would take an ass-beating and beg for more.. and for whatever reason, it had the factory Z24 ground effects so it was a bonus. Albeit, the 2.0 wasnt very powerful, but it got good mpg and would take abuse like no other (had 400k on it when I sold it).. and the turbo 2.0 was no slouch itself. I'd take that over the newer V6s any day. of course nothing compares to the 2.4 and the Ecotec of the newer gens

  • seems like music is very happy. All these commercials are happy unlike these shitty ones now

  • lolol this commercial never ceases to amuse me, I just got a 90 Z24 its a fun car to drive, fast to...

  • we drove our 85 cav into the ground, dug it up, and drove some more. had minimal trouble with it. Always started, never died. Kinda miss it.

  • This is the car my mother drove when i was like 5 years old. That would have made it like 6 years old then.

The wiring burned up in it and she got rid of it.

  • I like the older design of the Cavalier, like the ones in this commercial, all the way up untill 1994. To me, the exterior and interior design of the 1995 and newer Cavalier suck. But this is just my opion. Also, I think the Digital Dash of the 80's Cavalier is extremely cool. So it the commercial. Honestly, these commercial for Chevy are better then today's. But, this is my opion again.

  • I disagree I hated the 1995 til 2002 models but then the restyle and the new ecotech engine made them a nice car again.

  • "Plus an interior that comforts your very soul".

    Funny.

  • I cant see people getting so worked up over a Type 10,or even base model Cavalier.2.0 liter engine? What,90hp? The turbo Sunbird was the sportiest of the J cars up to that time. The Z24 V6 wouldnt come along for another year or 2.

  • alot of them got worked up about it i think the cars look under but the trubo sunbird looks nice lol

  • 95 Fuel Injected HP, buddy! Best-in-class in those days!

  • wow
