Grand Master Bong Soo Han was a hapkido master first and foremost, although he respected practitioners of other arts.
It's hard to imagine how such a small low-budget film made such a huge impact in so many ways, but Billy Jack truly kicked ass, and Master Han was pivotal.
this was the second greatest self defence film i ever watched when Tom Laughlin as "Billy Jack" hit the theaters back then..the first was The Green Hornet, Bruce Lee as "Kato" >:0]

The was the first martial arts movie I ever saw and it opened the door for everything else that followed in the U.S. including Bruce Lee.
