FDA, thank you for your warning. However, I'd really like to know when you will provide real data on medications and their safety for breastfeeding mothers. Every medication carries the same label "if pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medication". Come on! Why has Dr. Hale been able to gather up real data where you could not? We all know for every baby breasted, thousands of dollars are lost to formula/pharmaceutical companies. Why is the FDA not doing their job?

@lexmark136 I don't find anything funny about a baby passing away, especially from breastfeeding. For many years mothers have been given this type of pain medication following birth. This baby was 13 days old. 13 days! I find this sad and heartbreaking, not funny! To imagine bringing the baby home and doing everything to ensure the best possible nutrition only to have your own milk cause your newborn to die? No, I do not find anything about this baby's death 'funny'.
