  • Richard, Come to tweak and will have that stroke fixed for you in no time!

  • this is a horrible position ive done competitive swimming and look at his form his hand rotation is wrong and his head position is wrong the head is making a drag and the hands should at least barely touch the other hand before making another stroke STUPID!!!!!! and im also 14 im probably better than this guy

  • @cottonmouth213 I Have to agree....Bad form all the way around

  • i would be embarrased if someone uploaded a video of me,like this one with such a horrible techinique

  • terrible

  • Here are problems to correct in order of importance: 1. Over reaching (right hand more) 2. Dropped elbow catch 3. Poor rotation during breathing 4. Head turns during breathing (probably both goggles come out of water) and goes out of alignment with body 5. Head position seems a little high making kicks lower than normal

  • @afara2000 adn one more thing, he swtiches the sides tht he breathes on, u stick to one side

  • @beshanin Actually, it is recommended to breath on both sides to maintain good balance and technique. However, the downside is that it requires more oxygen which makes it difficult for older or novice swimmers. Single-side breathing is ideal for 100m or above swim races.

  • Terrible stroke, bad entry. Bring the elbows up...

  • I think the right arm is bad (crossed motion)

  • higher hipps would help you

  • overeaching and elbow drop.

  • unnecessary arm motion.

  • btw i don't know if anyone has reolised this but his hands are open! or is is it just me?

  • thorpe swims with open fingers

  • its okay to have your hands opened (of course not tooo open), popov is a great example.

  • Both hands cross the centerline on the reach, this forces a downward or digging catch. Reach in front of the shoulder, allowing an inward sweep on the catch (like Thorpe) thus using more forearm pull earlier. Also follow the reach with the shoulder for more streamlining and hip roll.

  • His right hand is very angled on entry in comparison to his left suggesting an over rotation. It would be cool to have a split screen - above and below the water. Apart from that it is always good to get an underwater view.
