I just love these two! Their relationship in the new movie is different because their original dynamic was seen as sexist, but I see it as that 99 always had a thing for Max and knew that he really wanted to be a good agent, so she'd cover for him when he screwed up. And he definetely was head over heels for 99 from day one!

Well, I might explain to you that though they are fictional characters they have their own personality (if they haven't, they wouldn't be GOOD fictional characters) and that what pleases is the compatibility between those two personalities, besides the chemistry between the actors. As I said, I might explain to you all that, but it takes too much time ;) Anyway, they ROCK together!!

Not many realize that Get Smart is a guy's love story. Man sent on quest, man (being average) screws up, woman shows him she's satisfied with him. What she honors is his willingness to die for her.

The gags are a sidelight, providing content for that overarching theme. Gags could be repeated without taking a thing from the appeal of the series.

Every male in America was in love with 99 not because she's great looking (she's average) but because she doesn't nag.

What I always found interesting was that when Barbara Feldon talks about the show in the DVD set, she was actually a lot taller then Don Adams, so when ever they were in a scene standing together she either had to bend her knees, lean on the Chief's desk, or be filmed in her bare feet to give the illusion that Max was taller then 99.

In most sitcoms the is a certain connection between charters that the audience would love to see more episodes and acting parts. But the writer try to focus in the shows main pilot charter. I would have loved to see Carlos and Sr. bertrille to hook up on the show and Janet and Jack to also hook up but that's TV for ya!
