Why do people keep denying MMGW? I assume it's easier for them to deny than to do anything about it. Of course we should have freedom of speech, but comments like "go johnny, you speak the truth" just make you sound like one of those people who blithers on authoritively about big issues which you have no knowledge of, you know, like religious people.
The man made climate movement is the biggest danger to mankind. They act like the biggest new religious movement since scientology. Johnny "dared" to speak his mind. What a thought crime!
You didnt make a mistake johnny. Well done, dont let the bastards get you down. And this group of people who booed you want freedom from libel laws on science. What a bunch of hypocrites. I expect this message to be flagged down by the eco warriors.
He had a seven minute slot; he stayed onstage for twenty, talking at length about a subject that he clearly knows nothing about. The crowd let him speak, out of goodwill more than anything else, but he blew this by slandering researchers, which is when the crowd turned on him. No hypocrisy, just discontent from a crowd that had paid to see an evening of science and comedy and, instead, had to endure the inane ramblings of a former Redcoat with no legitimate scientific credentials whatsoever.
Intelligence isn't the sole preserve of scientific credentials. The ability to think and reason for oneself is the basic qualification. Presumably the society must of placed some value on his intelligence by inviting him in the first place.
Perhaps if he had rambled inanely on a subject of your agreement, he would of been applauded.
You tend to get slander when you are not honest in your research, and get your knickers in a twist when you get criticism for it.
Just wondering why you have to have scientific credentials to critique the science, but don't to defend and agree with what they say. Not sure Neuroscience qualifies you to have an opinion in favour or against MMGW, using your own criteria. Personally I don't feel that way though, I think it shouldn't matter what titles you hold, but rather the substance of your arguments.
Johnny keeps raising a bottle of Becks bier to his lips. Where is the Jever Pils, old lad?

Not sure if that was aimed at me, DJ, but thought I'd add it anyway for the sake of clarity.
