The testimony given by Gore concerning the polar bears, was taken out of context from a study on polar bears that "mentions" the accidental death by drowning of a few polar bears cause by a severe storm. The same study states that the polar bear population are stable, while other recent studies show that the polar bear population are on the rise. Factoid : Polar bears are quite proficient swimmers and are well adapted for extended submerged hunting. C02 isn't the problem...

Even more interesting is when you superimpose the GISP and Vostok data most of the time as temp goes up in one hemisphere it goes down in the other and vice versa, this has been happening for 10,000s of years and is even happen today as the NH gets warmer the SH is getting cooler. Oh some regions of Antarctica have warmed just like some regions of North America have cooled the last 20 years.

What is even more disturbing is people like Al Gore ignore all the data from the southern hemisphere or Volstok ice core which shows no extended time period of flat temps, matter of fact the last 800 years it has had 3 major temp changes over 2.5 degrees C! So my question is how is it CO2 only effects the Northern Hemisphere and not the Southern Hemisphere?

For example it shows 1 degree C higher 1000 yrs ago, 2 degree C higher 2000 yrs ago and 3 degree C higher 3300 yrs ago with many ups and downs in between. Note the polar bears are still here and the earth did not flood.

If you look at the entire GISP ice core temperature data it does shows like in Al Gores movie temperature in the N.H. has been relatively flat for 800 years with a .5 C spike the last 100 years. However Al gore an others stop at 800 or so years for good reason as the rest of the data show drastic temperature change as much as 2.5 degrees C in less than 200 years.

I think it is important to understand their proof of man made global warming. There is no direct proof an increase of 100 ppm in CO2 has any effect on temp. Fact is an increase of 100 ppm CO2 has a no effect on temperature in the lab, none! You need to increase CO2 to about 200,000 ppm in the lab to see a 3 degree C change. Global warming nuts then say, well the lab is not fair because CO2 is 50,000 feet of atmosphere.

So there are some theories based on an idea of layers in 50,000 feet that tries to prove a 100ppm increase in CO2 increase temperature a few tenths of one degree F. This is an insignificant increase much less proof of man made global warming so the nuts say well CO2 has an amplifying effect and then they rely on flawed global warming models which are grossly positive lookback biased so of course they are going to show an amplifying effect from a small amount of CO2 as they are built to do

actually the ruling was that IF teachers want to show the film, they must make sure the students clearly understand the nine errors, and that this is a THEORY and is a debatable topic.

did anyone below actually watch this? It's not even a question, that Phelim asks. He just repeats a statement over and over again to Al Gore and then claims Gore doesn't answer his question. And its a statement without any logic to it ... that because Polar Bears are increasing in number therefore they are not endangered? How does that even make sense? This guy needs to study journalism and science before he tries to be the next Mike Moore.

He didn't repeat it, the editing just showed the same question from two angles. He did ask if Gore accepted the errors and if he's done anything to correct them. Gore didn't answer his question. He just said it was ruled in favor of the film and then started talking about polar bears. Then the guy gets yanked.

It was a legitimate question and it was dodged. Climate has changed long before we ever got here. Can we be 100% positive we're causing it to change now? I can't possibly see how.

Later Gore in answere addresses the claim of endangered polarbear and asks the journalist if he believes they are endangered. Who then says that the studies show they are increasing

Gore didn't answere the original question and instead the journalist was silenced. Did you miss it?
