A mellow, unassuming, effort- and flawless masterclass in jazz singing. Precious moments like these may console us that life is all-too short. Thank you both, Monica & Bill. RIP.
wow the very definition of subtlety; her voice and face convey such intelligence and charm. What a babe! You know this vid captures what was best about that short transitional 59-66 the very quintessence of what was lost . How sad this high tech dark age .
No wonder Bill Evans liked working with her so much. Her voice is perfect for his type of music and they play their timings off of each other really nicely.

Great.
Sadly, we can't see Evans on the clip.
It seamed that Bunker was on drum and Israels on bass... But I see only "silhouettes".

Love how symetrical her face is...and then when she sings her mouth becomes slightly crooked...it's very beautifull.

My first encounter with her. Lovely--had never heard Bill's "Waltz" sung before.

Om jag minns rätt så var det Beppe Wolgers som skrev texten till den svenska versionen av Bill Evans Waltz for Debbie...

Jättevacker sång :)

The swedish titlle of the song is 'Min valsmelodi' . Meaning somthing like; the melody of my waltz.
It does not necesserily imply that she was so egotistical to sing about herself.
dogofman 2 years ago
uh...that's Bill Evans' "Waltz for Debbie" It's about the innocence of childhood.

I know that!
I was commenting on Monica's swedish interpretation of the song.

She's saying: "Talk about flirting with the camera!" and "It's fun and nice to see and hear (the performance)".
