  • Monica Zetterlund Lullaby Of Birdland

  • pure beauty and grace!

  • Hon snålade inte med mascaran precis.

  • @norrasmedjegatan

  • Dear god, how beautiful, elegant yet simple she can be, all at the same time.

  • A mellow, unassuming, effort- and flawless masterclass in jazz singing. Precious moments like these may console us that life is all-too short. Thank you both, Monica & Bill. RIP.

  • @sepiapanorama

that was a beautiful tribute you just made.

    i couldn't agree more.

  • Wow the piano player-- Mr Evans the great player....

  • Waltz for Debby. Nicely done.

  • ..... ahhh - Monica....

we miss you.... enkel, vacker, öm.... as you were..!

    Väldig, vänlig, stark -

You wil never be forgotten - either!

  • they just don't make em like that anymore

  • so sacred!!!

    dig

  • i looooooooooooooveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • wow the very definition of subtlety; her voice and face convey such intelligence and charm. What a babe! You know this vid captures what was best about that short transitional 59-66 the very quintessence of what was lost . How sad this high tech dark age .

  • Från vilken dokumentär är detta? :o

  • Great.

Sadly, we can't see Evans on the clip.

It seamed that Bunker was on drum and Israels on bass... But I see only "silhouettes".

  • Underbart!!!!

  • Perfect!

  • No wonder Bill Evans liked working with her so much. Her voice is perfect for his type of music and they play their timings off of each other really nicely.

  • Love how symetrical her face is...and then when she sings her mouth becomes slightly crooked...it's very beautifull.

  • My first encounter with her. Lovely--had never heard Bill's "Waltz" sung before.

  • man i dig her style. her timing and non-flashiness is really great

  • It s about a deep deep love to another mensch

  • Sounds very nice...

  • shes so beautiful...

  • wow i love her sense for timing wowowow

  • The swedish titlle of the song is 'Min valsmelodi' . Meaning somthing like; the melody of my waltz.

It does not necesserily imply that she was so egotistical to sing about herself.

  • uh...that's Bill Evans' "Waltz for Debbie" It's about the innocence of childhood.

  • I know that!

I was commenting on Monica's swedish interpretation of the song.

  • She's saying: "Talk about flirting with the camera!" and "It's fun and nice to see and hear (the performance)".

  • what is she saying about herself in the video at the end?

  • OBOY Did i flirt with the camera like that.

  • @Siriussupporter: Could you translate the rest of her commentary?

  • Well,at least she was honest aboui herself, that´s something!Bill´s playing behind

her BTW is a perfect example of selfless, sensitive accompanist he was!
