It was they who defined the borders of the region and even then, the British foreign minister - Lord Balfour stated that the Jews should be given a land which included modern day Israel + extra land. This proves that if a moderate government is in control, peace and prosperity can be achieved between Israel and the Palestinians. It also proves that Hamas is NOT necessary - it is detrimental to the well being of both sides.

I never said it was a perfect life, but fact is, when the Palestinians lay down their weapons, real progress can be made, and THAT's what the west bank proves. THe term was given to the land by the Romans in response to the Jewish Bar Kokhba revolts in Jerusalem when Jews were the majority and wanted more control of the city. THe Romans named the land "Syria Palestina" meaning land of the phillistines, to punish the Jews (an ancient people who lived only in what is the Gaza strip today who have absolutely no connection to modern Gazans). This was 500 years before Islam and the Arab invasion.

It was they who defined the borders of the region and even then, the British foreign minister - Lord Balfour stated that the Jews should be given a land which included modern day Israel + extra land. Churchill then reduced the land to what is modern day Israel borders, and that was ratified again by the UN in 48.

A recent genetic study of palesinians found that they are actualy more Jewish than the Jews! The reasoning is that during the expulsion of the Jews they through out the ruling classes, Cohens and so forth but no the farmers (you gotta eat). The Turkish later converted them to Islam and so the modern day Palestian was born.
Kinda makes sense, a muslim mate of mine's grandma still lights candles on Shabat (the family prefer not to talk about it)
