Thank you, I have heard similar prescriptions from many different sources.
Honestly, people seem to give a lot of weight to endocrinologists and doctors in general, but in my experience, their decisions seem to be based upon fairly little (a cursury examination) and produce results which I could have come up with myself.
Surely this is different in more serious cases, but, I'm becomin less inclinded to think that I'm going to kill myself if it isn't prescibed.
Yeah the dosage I posted is usually for people under 40 year. But dosages and method of dosage can be altered from the age of 30. Above 30 there is a higher risk of blood clots and stuff, so most trans above 30 and certainly above 40 will get an estradiol patch (bandaid) because through the skin is safer, because it doesn't pass the liver. The liver does something to the hormones that causes blood to clot more. I got all the documents of how gender teams do it in my country :)
I've looked into the patches and even a gell, but they're just too expencive for me right now. However, if I have a problem, I'll have to look into them more.
I don't think I should have too hard a time; I'm only looking to take birth control, as I'm trying to stay on a low, low dosage.
We'll see though. Being that I'm young and healthy, complications shouldn't be that much of an issue. *crossing fingers and praying to all the Gods*
im sure when your finished the transation dont give up im a lesbian and i thought about being a man before but then i realized i love my female traits so i said the hell with it dont ever let anyone put you down and you have a perfect face for makeup great cheek bones good luck with everything
In The Netherlands the gender team prescribes this to MTF:
100mg Androcur a /day
4mg Progynova. (estradiol) a /day
