This was the first book I've ever read. I absolutely loved this book, I just finished reading for the second time. It's a story I can't get enough of. The way the story is writen is awesome. I mean with using the flashbacks like they did. And the fight with Valaria were good too. But the ending when they looked in the hearse freaked the shit out of me. To be honest I couldn't really sleep that night because I couldn't forget that one part, it kept playing over and over in my head.
I loved this book! Laymon is a real page turner, and i can honestly say, i fell inlove with the characters of this book, but if im honest, 3 things bugged me: 1) the 2 strangers and the caddy. Was intresting, but disapointed there wasnt more from them. 2: the mysterious figure in the woods during halloween...again, didnt get more from that...and i felt the ending was a bit rushed, cause we dont know what happened to a certain female character at the end. Still awesome to read!
@WiccanLass I found AllHallow's Eve the worst of his books. Also Beware and Night Show was very low in my opinion. Other than that, Richard Laymon rocks with all his other novels.
I've just found out Richard Laymon died years ago!!!!! I've read almost everything and I'm saving the rest for a special time. The Travelling Vampire Show is FANTASTIC. Stephen King rocks too in a different way, man.
You should review more laymon books, i would most definitely watch them! but you should include a little more about the actual book than you did, aside from that thanks nice video
I love the beast house chronicles, they were the best! i'm reading them again, I read them first about 4 years ago, and I LOVE em!!! it was only recently I read the traveling vampire show, and it did keep you on edge all way through, you were suspicious of everyone I found, real good read, read it in like 2-3 days.
Very cool and beast house series was my first Laymon books. I actually hope to improve my drawing abilities enough to make my own comic version of the beast house series
Well, my art is mediocre at best right now but I am working on it, oh and look forward to more richard laymon reviews, I've read more than half a dozen of his books already and havent stopped.
This was an excellent book, and like nothing I've ever read before. I'd like to add, though, that the ending of this book was astounding, and truly frreaked me out.

One of my favourite Richard Laymon books. If you haven't already, check out Shaun Hutson. He writes in a similar style to Laymon.

I am a HUGE vampire fan but like you the Twilight/V-Diaries trend doesn't really appeal to me.
I was wondering if you happened to read "Let the Right One In" by John Ajvide Lindqvist.
