There is one particular scene where Levi (doing his own stunts) shows his expertise in breaking down the boxes and Drew puts them back together, bringing this story full circle. "The Warehouse" might not have gotten the million dollar budget like other hollywood blockbusters, but direction and editing more than make up for what dollars could not produce. This movie gets two thumbs up, is a must see, and we look forward to it's sequel. -Dave Thurlow
It does not seem sexy on paper, but the simple story provides rare showcases for writing and acting excellence. It shows the extremes to which they all went to protect their boxes, help their company and fight a symbolic fight for the little guy everywhere.
The script is sparse and neat, as is the direction by Drew. The conveyor belt seems symbolic in its depiction of the flow, and struggles of everyday life, when the never ending packages seem to just keep coming and coming. This portrays the spirit of youth against the boss whom refuses to acknowledge, or even compensate them, in a monetary fashion. Undaunted, they struggle against boredom.Another flash of genius is to bring the story to the screen at all.
Levi cox gives "The Warehouse" intensity and dignity, even as he seems to be losing everything including his reason, and verging on obsession with Styrofoam cups.
There are several flashes of genius in this compelling fact based story, beginning with Levi Cox's impressive performance as a package handler who yearns to deliver, against all odds, his packages on time.
