I remember watching the trailer for the Dark Knight one night I must have watched it six times in a row, and my brother called me and told me Heath Ledger had just been found dead. My heart stopped. Unforchantly The Batman was there take on the Nolan films, as Batman TAS was there take on the Burton movies.

Now all thats left is The Brave and the Bold, which by the way feels like the Shoemaker movies, Oh joy!

I think the pinacle of the animated Joker would have to be the Mark Hamill-voiced version in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. I believe Kevin Smith put it best. "The Joker should be a character that makes the audience laugh at horrific situations, then make them feel bad about themselves for doing so." Return of the Joker did that for the animation version. Ledger did that in Dark Knight. The pencil scene even made my mother go "Haha...... oh"
