What a rotten day,(11/25/11). Just found out about Kenny. Coco died last night. I used to go to the dragon's den Monday nights in 94. That was Sake Night. "Hot Sake two for one". The drummer had a patch of grey duct tape on his snare. It was sooooo hard going to work the next morning. RIP and thanks for all the magic moments - Your music and souls flame on .
ah man, liver cancer! dammit !, im waiting on my new vhs adapter to be delivered, then i will upload some big mess with kenny from 89-90, best wishes kenny!, rand
I played with Kenny for about 1 year on the streets in New Orleans '92/'93. He was at the top of his game. Just found out yesterday he has liver cancer. :(
Just today I was telling my kids about Kenny playing his original song "Roachadilla" in Harvard Sq. I haven't heard his voice since our trip to New Orleans in 1995. This just made me very happy.

That was awesome...I used to watch Kenny and Coco play at Siam Cafe. I miss those nights. So, here's a vote from far away for more Kenny vids (cause there's already lots of Coco).
Gotta just love Annie's little toe wigglin once her left foot get's tired. Ok Annie, you still look 21 and still one of the very best players on da-planet!
Do you you have anything else with Butch in them? Pictures or anything, This is his daughters (Desha) Mother Denise. I have been in touch with Kenny, he said he would send me some pictures, but he has been dealing with his own stuff right now...

I too remember sitting with Kenny in Harvard square and at 1369. HE did a mean rendition of Gershwin's 'Summertime'

@bittoe1 Ever hear him do "nobody loves you when you're down and out"?

@drake1959
It's been so long - like 15 years. I don't think so though.
I would love to see him play again

I used to see Kenny play in Harvard Square years ago, and a gazillion times at the Sunday blues Jam at 1369 Jazz Club, and Butch of course too. : )
