wow i have a spider 6 years old and only weighs 1400grams im actually thinking about waiting one more year to bread her as i bred her last year got 4 eggs i was a dud but i did get a bumble bee out of her. anyways thats a nice pied and good luck i must say you are probably the nicest and most helpful ball breeder out there always willing to give info or help to anyone and i wanted to thank you for that and merry xmas and a happy and healthy new years!!
@ClassyHerps There is no way you can start the clock by using visual lock ups. First of all when you see a lock up it may not be a lock up at all, but more like courting.
The only thing I'm looking for is to check to see if the female is building, then you will see ovulation. The clutch will be layed sometime around 30 days after the post ovulation shed. The only time I start the clock is when I see ovulation. If you have anymore questions give me a call at 408-981-6694.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll have a few litters that will include motleys. Just to let you know I do have a very nice looking female pastel motley for sale.
I have been breeding for this trait for 3 generations. The stripping is not a dom, co-dom or recessive trait, but a look that I have been able succsesfully reproduce for 3 generations.
The father and grandfather of this snake are both high white stripped pieds and have produced low, high and mid range white pieds through the years.
I'll do video very soon showing the animals that I have in my stripped pied project.
@fgs9 Thank you. I would be interested to see some other striped pieds of higher white for comparison.
I thought that the amount of white on the parent would affect the white on their children, it is interesting to hear that they will produce varied amounts of white.

Hey Brain. From the first lock up, how long does it usually take till a female to lays eggs?

Hey Brian.
Love your videos.
Would really like to see maybe a collection video?
Maybe go through your room and just show some stuff, show some setups, etc.

I would swear it is a gen stripe pied!!! If it was also albino it would be the 1st "triple recessive" morph ... If there was gen stripe in it

Is the stripe genetic? Or just a very nice looking normal pied? Either way it is very good looking.
Does the percentage of white on the parents affect the amount of white on their children?
