  • aint it crazy about the way tht they'd blame a certain type of people because they didnt know where else to turn.... poor people...

  • I can imagine that the world of the middle ages was filled with whores and people disregaurding the 10 Laws of God that Moses recieved. Well maybe the people deserved to suffer God's anger.

  • @alanbourbeau24 of course in those days good punished them with the plague and today he does so with aids. Oh, well I see not all has been progress since the dark ages.

  • you might as well upload this video in 2 minute segments -.-

  • all i see in the priests are there bleeding pussys :

  • Why in all crisis that have happened all over the history there are so many fanatics that do not solve anything and just generate more panic?

  • @paula23525 desperate times lead to desperate measures :/

  • @paula23525 a good question and if we could answer it the world would be a better place

  • This is why Man must prove its superiority over rodents by forcing them to advance our own race in the fields of science and technology. What rats have done to us, we give them back in return.

  • Now, as a christian..aren't you suppose to try and live your life the way Jesus would, to the best of your capabilities ??? Well, I don't think Jesus would have done what that priest did . You know they have a phrase " In times of crisis the true nature of ones character is revealed " Boy they weren't lying were they . SMH .

  • Open wounds would only increase the chances of infection.

  • @r8wing they knew nothing of microscopic organisms causing infections. They thought it was because of negative energy in the air.

  • It was so frightening at 2:15 when the woman opens her eyes. It's like she's saying, "I can see you abandoning me, and you will no go unpunished." That's the scariest thing I've ever seen. I mean, you're afraid for your own life while also feeling helpless to do anything for others. My first reaction to such an act is horrified, but then I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing in such a scenario. Just horrible...

  • this is realy hard to wank to

  • Why can't the religious zealots of today engage in some good old fashioned self flagilation? I would pay money to see Fred Phelps and his Southern Baptist clan whip themselves stupid!

  • *It-Plague will Happen again! *The Vatican, *The RothChilds, The RockerFellers & *Your Govt! Believes that the World needs to be Depopulated! That's what AIDS/HIV was suppose to do! But, They were disapointed that it didn't work fast enough! So, Yes, They are Reserching a new type of Plague to Wipe out 75% of the Planet Earth! Just So that they can have all of the Power! & Continue to fulfill all of their own SelfCentered, Materialistic Greed! *Yes! They Hate You! So, Wake the "F"! Up! Slave!

  • The priests are the biggest cowards for being afraid to give last rights. I guess they don't believe their own faith.

  • @diane4947 (Sorry for the late reply) Wouldn't it add to the death toll? The Priests are not cowards for refusing to perform last rites (In my opinion anyway) and it does -not- show they have no belief in their own faith.

  • @AdamJMacGregor These rites will not save you. You will be saved only if you recognizes Jesus as your saviour, that He died for you on the cross and that He was resuscitated. Then you need to repent for your sins. This is the ONLY way. All these rites are human invention and totally disregarded by God.

  • @diane4947 I do not defend priests of that era but I can not say I blame them for that I mean it was not like aids which needs more direct contact

  • it is interesting to note that during medieval times people were very religious, they always pray and talk to god and they do penance...

now in modern times i don't think it happens anymore, maybe they lost their faith already.

too much material things in our lives now..

  • VERY GOOD VIDIEO GR8 4 REVISION

  • i reali feel sry for those people collecting the dead bodies from the household

  • I think if my mother and father were dying I'd rather die together with them than abandon them, but then again, if I was the one sick I'd tell them to leave me behind and run away and I'm sure they'd tell me the same so it'd be a very difficult choice and if you take either one no one would be able to blame you.

  • why r they whipping themselves thats messed up u cant just blame the person who didnt spread the plague

  • sorry but the self whipping was funny. all i thought was 'the pinnacle of christian technology'

  • Bring out your dead!

  • its so sad to see how desperate people on youtube are when they stoop to flirtation on black plague videos

  • Comment removed

  • @Sackboy612 How was that a prank? I'm just curious.

  • History is so interesting right miss Bartholomew?

  • Doesn't flogging themselves make them more vulnerable to get the disease. I mean the open wound. Ewwww

  • @virgoeyes: your defiantly a bimbo with huge boobs wishing they were brains

  • primite mankind. there is no god! religions are the biggest manipulation and brainwash ever!

  • These accents are extremely irritating and clearly fake. It's so unnecessary.

  • There is not God, it's like believing in Santa Claus and Easter Bunny. You can't be serious. It's all about high IQ complemented by Good Will. Stupid religious zealots did nothing but inhibited the development of science for centuries, tormented and murdered the best minds of their time.

  • @technofreeek no, it's not. seeing as we made up santa claus, and it's only a tradition to tell kids. However we have no idea about what's beyond our universe. you're being ignorant and expecting god to be one thing 'a magical person who made everything' when that is highly unlikely - that could just as easily be a metaphor for anything else. you have no idea about the spiritual side of the universe and stop trying to be politically correct and open up a little. You act like you know the answer

  • Damn You rats! Damn you Asian!...cos....it came from Asia right? Like the bird flu hehe

  • @virgoeyes Damn your gene pool for giving you the I.Q. of a peanut! *Tee-hee*

  • People are always making the mistake of thinking "God" and "The Church" are interchangeable. Just because the church said something stupid doesn't mean that was actually God's intention. Oh, and to all that person who complains about scientific advancements being called a gift from God? My parents are scientists. They work their asses off to develop their own advancements. They consider their intelligence and ability to perform that research a gift from God. So...yeah.

  • @Racization People are always making the mistake of thinking that god exists.

  • @Racization

doesn't make your god any more real.

  • For those commenting about religious ignorance, religion isn't about sitting back and waiting for God to miraculously extinguish an illness. Our modern medicine is a gift from God so why not use it? God helps us by allowing us to work through the problems in life.

  • @eurasianchica My sister works up to 16 hours a day trying to understand cancer. could SHE have a little of that credit too? Gift from god? then how come a HUMAN has to find the answer before there is an available answer?

As someone who comes from a scientific family there is something you all should know. these answers don't just fall from the sky. We work HARD to deliver to you ungrateful asses. I write code. It doesn't just appear. My sister fights cancer. it doesn't come to her in a dream.

  • @OneLazyNinja A "gift from God" doesn't mean God hands us answers on a silver platter. We are given hardship, and we pray for the strength to cope with it. So when I say that medicine is a gift from God, I don't mean that a magic cure fell out of the sky, but He gave us the capability to have scientists and such. Or for example if God saves us from drowning, it's not like He miraculously lifts us from the water, but he sends a boat for rescue, etc. I hope that helps.

  • @OneLazyNinja Who said anyone was ungrateful? I'm saddened by the fact that you think that since I believe in God I am not thankful. In fact God teaches us to be grateful for our circumstances, because it is only by His will that great things such as medicine can happen.

  • You look back on this and think how horrible people were to one another during this time of crisis. But you know that's human nature, if something happens to dramatically change our society, we're all going to run around like chickens with our heads cut off, I don't really know why we do it, but we do. If this were ever to happen again a plague without a cure in time, which I hope it doesn't, we will lose it, just like these people did. We may do it in different means, but we will panic.

  • The little dead riding hood

  • they r making God look bad. God didnt do this and they are blaming it all on him. everyone is stupid at those times.

  • @flamer41 i see no more intelligence today. Just more knowledge.

  • @flamer41 Like.. here's the thing.. YOU regular people take credit for advances in science and technology.. but really.. isn't it more fair to say that a select group of minds figure this out. You people just use it. So.. if the minds weren't there to find your answers for you, you'd still be just like this.

  • @OneLazyNinja Did I ever say I took credit of anything? I was just saying that they were blaming it on God. If im a regular person, what are you? Arent you also EDUCATED in school to LEARN about SCIENCE? Is it bad to learn about SCIENCE?

  • The Black Death wiped out communities of Catholic Christians, Orthodox Christians, Muslims, Jews, Confucians/Daoists, and "Pagans" alike, from one end of the Eurasian continent to the other. The Roman Catholic Church had no more effect on the course of the plague, good or bad, than any of the others.

  • @baraxor Wow. First not idiot i've seen on this comment thread. Keep being awesome.

  • I think wipping yourself during the plague would make things worse. Increase your chance of infection

  • I like History Channel. They make good and accurate docus.

  • 10 perfect of 95000. There probably weren't that many people in most towns!

  • Lol running kid at 0:27is wearin jeans.

  • @Vtecivicsib18 no one is capable of being educated or successful without the help of other humans. Without education and parents who are uneducated, you're nothing in this world. Lucky for us we have public schools. They just don't have the RESOURCES. But I will say they seem to be way more prone to violence than others...

  • madness is like gravity... all you need is a little push

  • @roman618

Nice quote of the Joker, there. :3 But I will agree it applies to this, like any extreme situation.

  • That reminds me of the Aficans, they are burying Aids victims in mass graves, below them is the water table they are using to improve the villages lives, if that mutates and contaminates the water table, another unseen wave will reap the land, fire is the only way to dispose of the corpses, they turn the corpses in the rat food, made things worst, fire was their only defence against the plague, wouldn't have stop it, but would had reduced the number infected

  • the HIV virus does not last long outside a living host, less than 24 hours if memory serves me correctly

if the victims have secondary infections then I suppose there's a chance that some could contaminate ground water, but you can't get HIV that way

  • @2Roo7ted

The pope would have many fires in his presents lol

  • Very scary:O MY GOSH

  • Fleas do not like the Horse's odor. So horse riders are usually Prince and Princesses. Until they get off the horse then the fleas attack. Also, Nostradamus was known to be able to treat Bubonic Plague until his own wife died from the plague.

  • Fuck Nostradamus

  • bring out cher dead...

  • thats life for you, but because we dont know how to really live, it all becomes difficult.

  • Exactly. The Plague must have been very emotionally distressing. Imagine if you had buried about half of your family and the surviving half faced the same undefeated enemy. Not only half your family but half or more of your town, perhaps your country The Plague had a 40-55% mortality rate If I were living then, I would have feared for myself and all those around me as well I only wonder why when they saw this happening and had a slight idea of it's cause they did not take measures to prevent it.

  • It's hard to imagine the emotional distress they must have been in. Not only did they have to contend with the plague itself, but they also had to deal with the fear of hellfire and damnation if they didn't get the last rites!

  • Hey the nazis took away 6 milion people i mean come on people were focusing to much

  • plague did a lot for working conditions, and general lot of the survivors. Lots of stuff lying around unused, wages going way up because of lack of workers.

  • Totally agree. I think it's a lesson for us today. Things like swine flu and avian flu are a natural way to control population. Pandemics need to happen to keep the world in check.

  • Sure would solve a lot of the world's problems to cull 50% of the population. food, water, pollution, sweatshops...maybe lead to a new renaissance. Of course, you'd have to survive the plague, anarchy and post-traumatic stress afterward, and bury all the bodies.

  • The governments are equally stupid nowadays when it comes to dealing with epidemics. Just look at the swine flu.

  • its a pandemic...you expect the government to be superheros? Its not easy to stop a pandemic...swine flu is nothing compared to what happened here.

  • Exactly its jesus job!

  • It's too easy to sit here and watch this and make comments about how stupid or ignorant the people were - without the work of scientists, both modern and historical, I have no doubt that most of the population today would be equally as ignorant. It's just too simple to referance the work of others and use it as our own ammunition against those who lived during the plague. Thanks for posting, by the way.

  • i completly agree with armoredsoldner look how the masses reacted to the swine flu, that was the hieght of ignorance

  • in Egypt: "slaughter all the pigs!!"...

    ^.- i had a GREAT laugh there

  • thats as stupid as stupid can get

  • there were entire generations and families that were wiped out... imagine millions of people dying... including children... that depopulated a lot of the planet, and killed out ways for those family lines to follow... there may have been some wonderful people that died.

  • I absolutely agree. Without modern science, bounded by their religion what could they do? As I heard it was even worse in islamic countries, as they believed in predestination they didn't even try to stay away from the sick. It must have been awful.

  • Look into the small pox plague of Montreal at the turn of the 20th century. People died despite the fact that a vaccine for smallpox existed because they were told by The Roman Catholic Church that their death was God's will.. Religious ignorance is still prevelant in our enlightened society.

  • @lesterclaypool1 It's so chic to whine about religion. Cherry picking mistakes that various churches/religions made and not taking into account the huge positive effects made by them must be one of the most popular past times for today's pseudo intellectual.

  • @TiminPhoenix

There's nothing psuedo intellectual about it: The Catholic church told it's parishioners during the small pox epidemic in Montreal not to test God's will by getting the smallpox vaccine. They even went as far as to print pamphlets and post warnings in Catholic run shops and businesses.

Psuedo intllectual is a gobshite like you who tries to call moral, or ad hominem, judgement on historical fact.

  • @lesterclaypool1 No, your type, someone who obviously has huge daddy issues with religion want to pick isolate incidents which you inflate totally away from reality.

So, am I calling you essentially a liar. Yes. A sad little sack of nothing, who has some past most likely with a priest who abused you. See a shrink, don't try to indict religion in mass...pardon the pun.

  • @TiminPhoenix

Project much? I'm sorry some priest played stink finger with you as a child but mentioning the RCC's effect on another epidemic in the context of a video talking about a similar historical incident is perfectly logical and in no way "indict(s) religion (en) mass".

P.S. I'm a devout Christian, and you're a wee bit stupid, as the comments on your profile page illustrate.

  • @lesterclaypool1 Its so sad that in our highly advanced scientificly technological society we still have the groans & moans of those who still wish to remove the technologies & knowledge we have gained from scientific advancements & replace it with superstition, plagues & invisable friends that were around during the the Dark Ages & the black plague time periods.

  • @lesterclaypool1 i agree, but there is nothing wrong with believing in an omnipotent being. it gives us strength, and gives us something to work for. its in human nature, and no-one can stop that. its only bad when it dominates your life.

  • @ironmadion55 read what i wrote im not saying that beliefs in god are the problem at all ,,, but in saying this i dont think the catholic church has any place in medical treatments or judging the severty of a wide spread illness ,,, and it shows

  • @lesterclaypool1 How could the Church have said that? Suffering is never God's will. God loves us, but He won't protect us from EVERYTHING.

  • @queenesther09

The plague in Montreal was at the turn of the 20th century so I think that, perhaps, the church was feeling very threatened by how fast modern medicine was progressing. It's hard to convince someone that God knows all when an organization, like the RCC, is ignorant to the advances that God has allowed man to create and discover. What does an organization do when another group can offer something that they can't? They tear the other organization down with lies.

  • @lesterclaypool1 lol enlightened society? Finding various methods to cater to our laziness is NOT enlightened. Quite the opposite.

  • @OneLazyNinja oh my goodness can you read and understand what you read ? RELIGIOUS IGNORANCE IS STILL PREVELLENT IN OUR ENLIGHTENED SOCIETY , do you u n d e r s t a n d what this means ? ,,, this not only is sarcassum but true ,,, and enlightenment is not laziness ,, look up the word meanings ,, its not gods will to lay down and die because a religious figure says it is ! THINK !

  • @lesterclaypool1 This society is anything but enlightened.

  • @maulcs

The people in it may not be consistantly enlihtened, but compared to the scenerio in this series we are floating in Nirvana compared to what the masses went through.

  • @lesterclaypool1 or enlightenment is saving society from normal plagues, but is going to doom people when the time comes for the horsemen of the apocalypse to ravage the earth

  • @d3ltadrive

I guess that depends on how your read Revelation, as a spiritual plague or a physical one.

As someone who is more worried about cancer of the soul than cancer of the body I read that Bible book thinking that they're talking about the former but it's certainly open to interpretation.

  • @lesterclaypool1 thats an interesting way to look at it, i never thought about it that way, ill try reading it again with that in mind

  • @d3ltadrive cool to bad we couldnt get an exact translation ,,, because i dont think who did transalte these books were looking at all the possiblitys and in the hebrew some time like greek the words might have a different or double meaning compared to what we just read andsee first off,,,,,,, peace bro

  • @lesterclaypool1 Itdoes speak of a spiritual plague, Thegreat waters willleave babylon th great, the originator of false religion. So the plague will be physical. Just even worst than 1347

  • @lesterclaypool1 What proof do you have that there wasn't a supernatural cause for this or for any epidemic? You can't prove your views unless you prove there's no God, and you can't. Personally, I think there are many things that occur in the world that don't seem to make any sense unless you look at it from a religious perspective. Who's to say that this wasn't a divine act (as horrible as that may sound)? We like to think we're somehow more intelligent than "ignorant people", but we're not.

  • @Jennafu832 wait a minute , now this is absolute religious ignorance !you trulley think this was a punishment ? ok you asked what proof do you have this wasnt a supernatural cause, let me ask you what proof do you have that this was a supernatural cause ? show me any biblical verse that state this is a punishment or better yet tell me the sins of these people to suffer this, tell me why the children died from the plague back this up with scripture . this is religious ignorance

  • @Jennafu832

You need to read my comment properly and reply to it intelligently and in a relevant manner. Don't quote me as saying that I said "ignorant people" when I said nothing of the sort. So many arguments are started on this site by people with poor reading comprehension who don't understand the comment that they're replying to.

  • @lesterclaypool1 Did you not use the term "religious ignorance"? I didn't just come up with the word "ignorance" on my own and decide to use it against you. *You* said it. Perhaps you didn't explain yourself appropriately so as to be understood accurately. I responded to exactly what I read in your comment, and I stand by what I said. If you want to clarify what you meant to say, I'm all ears. I'm not trying to pick a fight, but I thought I needed to comment.

  • @Jennafu832

Religious and people are not one in the same. Good job trying to skip around your wrong perception, though.

  • @lesterclaypool1 I think I speak for anyone following our conversation when I say, "WHAT?!?" I'm confused as to what you mean. I answered *you*. I didn't try to "skip around" anything. I would reply to your last comment if I understood it, but I don't. I'm an intelligent, well-read young woman. It may make you feel better to believe that I'm just stupid and don't understand the complexities of your reply, but you're wrong. You may have great ideas, but you can't communicate them worth a hell.

  • @Jennafu832

You have a good opinion of yourself that your reading comprehension doesn't compliment.

The ignorance of the RCC and religious dogma and theological beliefs isn't interchangeable with "ignorant people" in any language or culture.

Again, be sure that you understand what you are reading before you start an argument based on a non point derived from your poor reading skills.

  • @inmyheartgerI

    Go away troll.

  • @Jennafu832

    Part 2

I never called people of faith ignorant, faith is a wonderful thing. Religious ignorance is the business of hypocrisy that allows a religious organization, like the RCC, to take something that should enrich someone's life and use it as a means of control, taking that control as far as to cause death in the case of the Montreal plague.

In your mind you took my complaint about the organization and placed it on the adherents.

Reading comprehension, it's right fucking powerful.

  • @Jennafu832 well then this was time well wasted wasnt it ? yes it was ,,, perhaps i can explain it like this ,, the problem isnt with god or the teaching of god or even the bible but in fact the ignorance of those making the rules and regulations of the governing body of the church ,,, LOOK PEOPLE DIED BECAUSE OF THE IGNORANCE OF THOSE WHO DONT KNOW BETTER AND BLAME THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE RATHER THAN THE PLAGUE,,, NOT YOU NOT ME UNDER STAND ? THIOS IS THE IGNORANCE ISPEAK OF ,,,

  • @Jennafu832 ignorance is the lack of knowlage ,, under stand ? and when you think it is an insult you are wrong under stand ? it is not an insult unless you do not know better ,,, and religious ignorance is just that ,, the lack of knowlage in religion , i hope this helps ,,, its the same when i hear a muslim say its the will of allah when people are starving to death because of a flood[ pakistan ] ,,suffering is not the will of god , reread the entire conversation with an open mind

  • Respond to this video. so you really think this might have been a punishment from god ? really ? to me this is absolutely unbevelievable that some one would think this today especially if they can read the bible and under stand it ,,, i guess you have no idea that god states his relation ship is a personal one with each human if they decide to persue this relation ship ,, hence any punishment would be individual one not against an entire contenent with out reason ,, THINK

  • @lesterclaypool1 The Bible DOES talk about punishment for sins... ALL OVER THE PLACE. If you know ANYTHING about the Bible, you should know that. The Israelites were punished for generations because of their idol worship. God punished all of Egypt when he sent the plagues before the Hebrew people were released from captivity. I could continue, but I don't have any more space. Are those examples of "individual" punishment? I don't think so, my friend... Next time, try actually READING the Bible.

  • @Jennafu832

God punished the Pharaoh of Egypt and the followers of Moses,. those are specific and individual groups. Where is the theological basis for people not taking the small pox vaccine? Do you have a verse for that? Where is the theological basis for women not being allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia?

This comes from organized religion's ignorance, not theology.

It would have been God's will to let science discover vaccinations as much as it would have been His will to create smallpox.

  • @lesterclaypool1 See, now you're missing my original point. I admit that I can't be sure when certain events are acts of God, but I don't deny the fact that it's a possibility. Only God knows why He allows certain things to happen. No one can claim otherwise, not even you. The things you have said make it seem like *you* deny the possibility that negative events *could* be punishment from God at all. I'm not certain of anything, but I don't dismiss these ideas either. Understand?

  • @lesterclaypool1 By the way, I might be more inclined to take you seriously if you knew correct English grammar. Also, PLEASE stop saying "under stand." "Understand" is a single word. You don't need to put a space between "under" and "stand." When you begin a sentence, it's appropriate to capitalize the first letter of the first word. Also, I don't understand what you mean by "trulley." I'm guessing from the context that you meant to say "truly." You really frustrate me. LEARN ENGLISH, LESTER!

  • @Jennafu832 thats it ? that all you ve got ,? my poor typing has nothibng to do with the truth that you over look or are to stupid to know better ,,, this is a sure sign you have lost this argument ,,, and i dont care if you are frustrated and thats dont make you right either ,, your a moron and would rather type poorly than be uneducated on this subject ,,, go cry to some one who cares !

  • @Jennafu832

Turning spelling and grammar Nazi proves that you've lost the, non existent anywhere but your mind, debate.

Do you ever pull your head out of your ass to look around and see that you are conversing on a GLOBAL site where the person that you are debating may not claim English as their primary language?

lesterclaypool1 one gave you such an easy out at the start of the conversation but you kept running your mouth proving yourself to be the fool that you at first only appeared to be.

  • @thegirl44 No, it just gets on my nerves because I take great pride in being able to write well. lesterclaypool1's bad grammar affects my ability to understand his point. I don't think that means anything other than a lack of ability to communicate. I have respect for lesterclaypool1 for his opinion, even though I don't think I really understand what he's saying. I'm not arguing. I'm trying to explain myself. If you can't understand that, then you have your head further up your ass than I do. :/

  • @Jennafu832

I think that you're not understanding what he's saying because it doesn't jive with what you've decided he's saying. Hence the non existent debate, hence you resorting to calling out his language abilities when you couldn't make him say what you thought he was saying.

Just what I observed following the situation the last few days.

  • @thegirl44 No, I was not debating with him. What is it with you and your desire to not only beat me but to squash me like a bug? Do I push your buttons that much? I find it humorous that you've started debating about the same time that lesterclaypool1 stopped responding. Are you lesterclaypool1 under a different name, perhaps? Why in the world do you care so much? Did you not read my comment that I wrote in addition to the "language abilities" comment? I wrote two comments during that sitting.

  • @Jennafu832 I think you think the term religious ignorance is an attack on you ,,, but it is not , and i have already explained this ,, reread the comment and try to under stand what has been said and what the terms actually means . .

  • @lesterclaypool1 Lester, this is getting old. I think there was a huge misunderstanding that occurred as a result of not being able to hear and see each other talk. It's difficult to communicate and accurately understand each other when not in person. I think you're probably right about religious ignorance, and I'm not too proud to admit that I probably made assumptions at some point in conversationg about what I thought you were trying to communicate. I'm sorry. :)

  • @Jennafu832 i to am sorry i might not have explained my self or thought every body knew what i was talking about and thats a problem i have always had ,,,, friends ?

  • @Jennafu832 yes you are correct ,,, and im sorry for thinking every body knows what im talking about ,,, friends ?

  • @lesterclaypool1 Sure! Good talking to you, Lester. :)

  • As my wife tells me, "Yes, my love, I would throw you to the zombies if it would ensure my survival."

She's not being mean, she's being brutally honest about the fact that her instinct to survive would override her affection for me. She is human, after all.

  • She loves you loads then! haha!

  • That she does, and I love her for the fact that she is painfully honest even about the most taboo subjects.

  • @armoredsoldner what's funnier is that in 100 years from now.. god even 40 years from now.. people will look back at us and laugh about how backwards WE are now. like "omf they couldn't even cure aids! They injected BOTOX and when their stomachs hurt them, someone took their damn appendix out without even realizing what it actually DOES!!" And how arrogant people were to assume we have all the answers now. Listening to fools make fun of the past is looking at the idiots of the future.

  • @armoredsoldner ...and just think about how primitive this society would be if we only relied on religion, which is what a lot of people seem to think is an ideal situation.

  • @armoredsoldner It makes us feel a lot better about ourselves though, doesn't it?

  • @armoredsoldner Not really they whiped themselves to reedem them of any sins they maked while in the mean time made persecution and mass murder. So basicly there trying not to sin and asking for forgiveness. And after that they go and kill people how does that work ?

  • some of these talking heads are unbearably moronic sounding....shame, since it's a cool doc.

  • I don't blame the religious. They were terrified for their lives. The terror was not only death but the horrid, painful suffering that preceeded it. No wonder family members abandoned one another.

  • im dead boo

  • I'm not dead yet!

  • lol...only monty python...

  • bring out your dead
