This DKW 3 cyl. 2stroke racing engine was the most advanced 2 stroke engine at its time. - Because of its awesome sound people named her the "singing saw"
Also this engine was one of the first engines were engeneers begun to understand (and with the time to enormously benefit) from the special gasdynamic circumstances within a 2 stroke engine (expansion chamber system).
