This is a real dilemma, solarisgalrocks and Laras420. James wasn't writing about doctrinal differences but about Christian backbiting and favoritism, intra-Body competition.
Still, the doctrinal difference debate -- which we MUST do to better learn the truth ourselves, as we are in training to become kings under the King of Kings -- often degenerates into the same petty infighting. The only time I feel good about it is when I can generalize and find EVERYONE (including myself) at fault.:)
Thats it isnt it, we do end up bickering when the other person doesnt see what we are trying to say, or atleast thats how it possibly appears to them. If we could get the "im right your wrong" emotion out of it and use the " look at this from this angle view" and debate like adults we may just be able to do it without it turning into a mud slinging fight :-)
This is really big issue. We MUST learn to bridal the tongue !!! I so much appreciate this video. I know that satan can't read our minds but when we speak he can use this to set a trap for us. I wonder if this was what the Lord was referring to when He talks about the sin that so easily ensnares us? (Hebrews 12:1-3)
yes definitely a must send tube. I saw this and figured how some are quick to trash certain groups of people who may be struggling with some sort of sin, yet they fail to watch themselves with their tongue. It's sad, but so true.
We are to be he salt of the earth and a light shining on a hill. And we are to love each other. Wow, our tongues digs our own graves, that is powerful! Matthew 15:18 I have a lot of repenting to do. So happy that you posted this :)
18 But whatever comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this is what makes a man unclean and defiles [him]. 19For out of the heart come evil thoughts (reasonings and disputings and designs) such as murder, adultery, sexual vice, theft, false witnessing, slander, and irreverent speech. 20These are what make a man unclean and defile [him]; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him unclean or defile [him].

If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this ones religion is useless (James 1:26).
useless......
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers (Eph. 4:29).
grace to the hearers.....

Is it any wonder the athiests have a field day pulling us apart when our tongues dig our own graves?
Ive tried correcting someone on this recently, unfortunately they chose to call me satans child instead of looking into the state of their own heart

Amen to that mate, could this be the difference between the narrow path and the wide road?

Ephesians 4:29 (New Living Translation)
In other words..
29 Dont use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
