I am into my 6th week after achilies tear repair surgery,I am counting the hours till this cast come off for the final time, and the walking cast is fitted.

It has been the worst 6 weeks of my life,

I am union Carpenter in Detroit,and after finding a job after being laid off for a year this happens,At 57 it realy sucks

I tore mine after I bumping into a hornets nest, I tried to get away as fast as my feet would move, but instantly tore my achilies in half.Only got stung twice.

Thanks for sharing this! I feel your pain...but he should be back now, right? Wow, this is a great video! I tore my achilles on March 23, 2010, having surgery 3 days later on March 26...I am now 16 days post op and taking it day by day. I am in a half cast for 3 weeks and this Friday I get placed in the air walker boot for 3 more weeks of Non Weight Bearing...I should be able to put weight on it by 6-8 weeks...This is a very slow process, but I am trying to remain optimistic!
