I am curious about the reason why they told you not to run 5.56 trough it. I know about the different pressures between the rounds. Depending on what they said I would have told them the to stick the rifle where the the sun don't shine and asked for a refund. You could get a nicely modded AR15 or few AKs for the cost of one of the those. I was looking at getting one sometime now I am having second thoughts. But guns are like people not two are alike.
Next thing you know they will be telling you they didn't design the civilian models to shoot that many rounds like you would in CQB. You know TPTB don't want civilian models to perform better than the a MilSpec weapon.
i was thinking now. if as u and bushmaster gunsmith say that ACR is NOT designed to fire 5.56, than it's might be the barrel and to be more precise THE CHAMBER that can not withstand high pressure and gets wider after heating up, thus allowing the empty case to loose it's shape ( blow, get wider) and become difficult to extract. extractor claw drags, pulls it it but it takes to much energy and in the end the extraction cycle is not fully completed. u need stronger chamber. what do u think?
I don't condemn that fact that you seem to shoot alot, but if your firearm continually jams...why do you continue to shoot it? I understand if you have like a malfunction or 2 that's an easy fix like tapping your mag to make sure it's seated or swapping out ammo. my question/concern is why not stop shooting right then and there and break down the rifle and figure out what is going on. personally I love the drill you're doing, it's great practice but why abuse a firearm if it effects training
while im sure it was annoying, i feel confident in my guess that REM and MAG were MORE than willing to fix these issues for you?

80 rounds? Quite the extensive test you did there. Also, how could you possibly eliminate the rifle from being at fault? Surely, you're not saying that because your sample has been trouble free, that all others will?

@jdeluisa Yes i got it from my dad's actually he gave it from my birthday! ive tested it and its really GOOD! since the last 2 years i just experience jammed once but i fired about 65000 rounds still in good shape! PS. i think its just around 2500$ that was last 2 years...
@jdeluisa BTW! dude before u buy the HK416 i still have 1 gun its barret m468 it fires the 6.8 SPC! its the same mechanism as the hk416 when fire like 120 rounds or more the chamber is still cool and the barrel! Really Bro i recommend buying m468...
You can buy the HK SR556 (civilian model of the HK416)...however the 416's are not without teething problems as well. Despite the "hype" the HK rifles are not proving as reliable as originally touted. Even stuff like US-made LWRC piston guns are likely more reliable (and around half the cost of the HK models). There is no perfect rifle. Granted I shoot AKs and they have been pretty darn good ...nothing is perfect. Thanks for keeping us up to date.
I still prefer the AR 15 over the ACR.. i've grown more comfortable firing the AR 15 over the years and I find it more affective in close quarter combat.
I've owned 14 AR15s over the last 17 years and had 3 FTF ever. When ever I tried to fix what was not broken(like buying an Hk93 or SIG 556) I ran into problems. I would never have wasted that much ammo on that rifle, I would sell it and get the FN SCAR or a Colt AR15.
Might sound silly but did you try it with the magnifier closed or off of the gun? I found on my SR 15 the ejected rounds were hitting the magnifier and getting stuff just like your ACR.
Might sound silly but did you try it with the magnifier closed or off of the gun? I found on my SR 15 the ejected rounds were hitting the magnifier and getting stuff just like your ACR.
I've been following the saga of your ACR troubles. Very disappointing to say the least. I feel for ya. I waited so long for the Massada (ACR) and SCAR to come out. Got tired of waiting and bought an XCR, FS2000, AUG, Arsenal SGL 31 plum, Ruger SR556, built about 10 BCM ARs. After seeing the ongoing story of your Bushy experience, I'm leaning towards the SCAR. I'm totally floored by the inaccurate info from the CS dept. wow....
I have an ACR, with the same problem you have, but.... Just like any other gas drive you I just turn up the gas and problem free. Seems to me you need to play with the gas. I'm just saying this is what work for me.
@domandnick Seems weird to me that you think the gas system on the ACR is adjustable? U or S only - its not an adjustable pressure system otherwise. Do you really have an ACR?
I'm sorry that your ACR keeps acting up. What ammo were you using? I agree that the Bushmaster gunsmith telling you not to use 5.56 ammo is completely retarded...that gun should chew through .223 or 5.56 ammo and spit it out reliably. I noticed that the ammo you're using is brass-cased, which helps. I own an LMT MRP CQB Piston 16 carbine, I love it, and I want to pick up an ACR eventually, but seeing this is making me think otherwise...
@GruppeB Hey, thanks for watching. I have been using the American Eagle xm193. I have also shot some American Eagle .223 and some Hornday .223 Remington. The American Eagle ammo has been good so far. Between my Spike's AR and the ACR I have shot 7000 or so rounds without a single misfire or malfunction.
@MrGixxer666 hey, saw your comment. I shoot upwards of 1000 rounds a week in various firearms and and have well over 4000 rounds through the ACR. I know a lot of people who own AR's who will never fire that much the entire time they own their rifle. Seems to me that if a problem exists I may discover it in 4000 rounds? Bushmaster replaced the replaced the gas block, gas regulator, ejector spring, and extractor this time. We shall see. Gonna buy a LWRC this week - maybe it will run better
@jdeluisa I think I may have come across the wrong way so I deleted my post. This is just frustrating as hell to me as for one, there aren't many videos on here with the acr yet and when I see all these videos you have about yours having nothing but problems it pisses me off. Something is not right and its one of two things. Either you are doing something wrong and you don't know what it is or they are doing something wrong. And to be honest, I think your gunsmith is a fucking moron. (cont).....
.....(cont) Get a new one for starters. I wish I could get my hands on your acr to see if there was something I could see that was wrong with it but I cant. Wish you luck.
@MrGixxer666 The gunsmith in the vid I made is a pretty good guy and does a great job with AR's. All he did was field strip it and test the tension of the ejector and recoil spring. He also replaced the springs in some of my pMags at no cost which I thought was cool. The gunsmith at Bushmaster is the dude that told me not to fire 5.56 which is obviously bullshit.
@NoXoNaToR No, Bushmaster replaced the gas block, gas regulator, ejector spring, extractor. Not a mag problem. Not a lube problem either - It's not a DI AR
needless to say, its a bummer when a gun doesn't work. its a major bummer if its a $2200+ gun and chalk up another great effort by Bushmaster's quality control. I was hoping to get a gas piston rifle soon, but it seems like the ACR issues haven't been completely resolved. From what I understand, your ACR is not an isolated lemon. I'll stick to my DI AR15's until they figure out what's the matter with the ACR.
I'm not familiar with the ACR's system, but with the Robinsons Armament XCR-L rifle if it were doing this, we would suggest that the gas be turned up. EVERY SINGLE symptom you have experienced is a sign of gas starvation of some sort in an XCR. I would think that the ACR would be somewhat similar. perhaps if there is a higher gas setting you could try that?
I would send copy's of these video's you made along with your gun to bushmaster. Sounds like the Gunsmith is an idiot too. I thought this gun was going to be able to handle 7.62X39 along with 6.8. How can it not handle military grade 5.56? I also own an ACR I have had no proplems. However I have not put anywhere near as many rounds through it. Keep us posted
If this happened to me, there would be smoke literally coming out of my ears!
I really hope Shrubmaster gets this fixed for you.
As far as those screws coming loose. Don't those fasten the internal steel guide rails (that the bolt carrier slides on) to the aluminum upper receiver? If they are backing out, could that also be leading your problems with ejection?
As I mentioned before, you almost certainly have an EJECTION problem that is caused by too high carrier velocity or a weak/faulty ejector spring. Did you try running it on the suppressed gas setting? If so I didn't catch it. Trust me, I designed some smaller parts of this rifle and tested it when it was the Masada. Send the rifle back and tell Bushmaster about the ejector/carrier velocity. There is also a possibility you got a barrel with a .223 only chamber, this will cause issues.
@KineticResearchGroup Thanks for keeping up with the posts. I did send the rifle back to Bushmaster but have not heard anything back yet. I have not tried it on suppressed mode. As far as the .223 chamber goes, the barrel is marked 5.56 nato. The extractor spring seems OK although that could be an easy fix. At some point I will need to start replacing springs as I have over 4000 rounds through it. I will keep you posted. Tanks for watching.
Jdeluisa, I have been following all your ACR vids and I have to say, that first you should either get your money back or at the very least, Bushy should replace it, like you would do in K-Mart when a product you bought turns out to be flawed!
Second, I think the sound FX you used to disguise the foul language were simply hilarious!
I hope you finally get what you paid for, which is a fully functioning Bushy ACR... Jams will occur, but not after 500 rounds! That is no good!
Man I'm sorry to see that your rifle is still malfunctioning brother!! I was inspecting mine and had reservations about the screws holding the rails to the interior of the upper, wonder
I'm thinking you got a dud gun. I've now seen various ACRs on youtube and in person and they go tons of rounds without a malfunction. Unfortunately it's going to take Bushmaster realizing and accepting it for this one though, and just doing a complete replacement instead of trying to fix various small things, firing 20 rounds through it and sending it back. It very much seems like the problem only presents itself once it gets hot which can be frustrating for the user and the gunsmith.
The shop in Utah by the name of GetrdoneGuns has a transferable Lifetime Davidson Warranty for $70.
He said he pays the shipping for errors and gets you new functional parts fast, then deals with Bushmaster himself.
Call and inquire on the Davidson warranty or Please prove me wrong on dropping the extra $70, I am just learning about this lifetime transferable warranty myself.
...Please comment. -thanks
(i will keep you guys posted, so please do the same).

YouDiddntSeeAnything 1 year ago
LET ME GET THIS CLEAR. The acr can not fire 5.56 mm when you buy it from the shelf?
iComment17 1 year ago
@iComment17 You are correct
jdeluisa 1 year ago
I've owned 14 AR15s over the last 17 years and had 3 FTF ever. When ever I tried to fix what was not broken(like buying an Hk93 or SIG 556) I ran into problems. I would never have wasted that much ammo on that rifle, I would sell it and get the FN SCAR or a Colt AR15.

Holly Shit @5:37 That round sounded like it was incoming
Derail07 1 year ago
I had the same problem with a Keltec SU 16. She would only run with xm193 and Hornady. Rem UMC and Winchester would jam. My STAG will eat anything.

I'm totally floored by the inaccurate info from the CS dept. wow....
curtb2u 1 year ago
I have an ACR, with the same problem you have, but.... Just like any other gas drive you I just turn up the gas and problem free. Seems to me you need to play with the gas. I'm just saying this is what work for me.
domandnick 1 year ago
@domandnick Seems weird to me that you think the gas system on the ACR is adjustable? U or S only - its not an adjustable pressure system otherwise. Do you really have an ACR?
jdeluisa 1 year ago
I'm sorry that your ACR keeps acting up. What ammo were you using? I agree that the Bushmaster gunsmith telling you not to use 5.56 ammo is completely retarded...that gun should chew through .223 or 5.56 ammo and spit it out reliably. I noticed that the ammo you're using is brass-cased, which helps. I own an LMT MRP CQB Piston 16 carbine, I love it, and I want to pick up an ACR eventually, but seeing this is making me think otherwise...
GruppeB 1 year ago
@GruppeB Hey, thanks for watching. I have been using the American Eagle xm193. I have also shot some American Eagle .223 and some Hornday .223 Remington. The American Eagle ammo has been good so far. Between my Spike's AR and the ACR I have shot 7000 or so rounds without a single misfire or malfunction.

You should've gotten the airsoft one. I like the zombie walk drill though. That's hot.

Gonna buy a LWRC this week - maybe it will run better
jdeluisa 1 year ago
@jdeluisa I think I may have come across the wrong way so I deleted my post. This is just frustrating as hell to me as for one, there aren't many videos on here with the acr yet and when I see all these videos you have about yours having nothing but problems it pisses me off. Something is not right and its one of two things. Either you are doing something wrong and you don't know what it is or they are doing something wrong. And to be honest, I think your gunsmith is a fucking moron. (cont).....
MrGixxer666 1 year ago
.....(cont) Get a new one for starters. I wish I could get my hands on your acr to see if there was something I could see that was wrong with it but I cant. Wish you luck.
MrGixxer666 1 year ago
@MrGixxer666 The gunsmith in the vid I made is a pretty good guy and does a great job with AR's. All he did was field strip it and test the tension of the ejector and recoil spring. He also replaced the springs in some of my pMags at no cost which I thought was cool. The gunsmith at Bushmaster is the dude that told me not to fire 5.56 which is obviously bullshit.
jdeluisa 1 year ago
@jdeluisa whoa, good luck on the lwrc. I got one too but i don't shoot 1000 rounds a week lol. In fact i don't eve HAVE 1000 rounds right now :(
808Arsenal 1 year ago
@808Arsenal I have my eye on the LWRC REPR. Either that or a POF 308 with a 16 inch barrel. What's your favorite AR style rifle?
jdeluisa 1 year ago
@808Arsenal I am also seriously considering an Arsenal SGL. Looks like you have a picture on one on your channel page. Like it?
jdeluisa 1 year ago
lubeeee and nuw mags
NoXoNaToR 1 year ago
@NoXoNaToR No, Bushmaster replaced the gas block, gas regulator, ejector spring, extractor. Not a mag problem. Not a lube problem either - It's not a DI AR
jdeluisa 1 year ago
needless to say, its a bummer when a gun doesn't work. its a major bummer if its a $2200+ gun and chalk up another great effort by Bushmaster's quality control. I was hoping to get a gas piston rifle soon, but it seems like the ACR issues haven't been completely resolved. From what I understand, your ACR is not an isolated lemon. I'll stick to my DI AR15's until they figure out what's the matter with the ACR.
3is 1 year ago
I'm not familiar with the ACR's system, but with the Robinsons Armament XCR-L rifle if it were doing this, we would suggest that the gas be turned up. EVERY SINGLE symptom you have experienced is a sign of gas starvation of some sort in an XCR. I would think that the ACR would be somewhat similar. perhaps if there is a higher gas setting you could try that?
Hope that helps.

I feel sorry for you and the situation.. =/
But I wanna give you cred for pointing it down-range at 7:35! Nice to see! =)
Elvborn 1 year ago
I would send copy's of these video's you made along with your gun to bushmaster. Sounds like the Gunsmith is an idiot too. I thought this gun was going to be able to handle 7.62X39 along with 6.8. How can it not handle military grade 5.56? I also own an ACR I have had no proplems. However I have not put anywhere near as many rounds through it. Keep us posted

shit man i hope they dont use this in the military, people get killed for stuff like this

For 2,000 dollars that rifle should not be failing like that. Is it fixed now?
Lexesbenz 1 year ago
If this happened to me, there would be smoke literally coming out of my ears!
I really hope Shrubmaster gets this fixed for you.
As far as those screws coming loose. Don't those fasten the internal steel guide rails (that the bolt carrier slides on) to the aluminum upper receiver? If they are backing out, could that also be leading your problems with ejection?
Hiluxtaco 1 year ago
As I mentioned before, you almost certainly have an EJECTION problem that is caused by too high carrier velocity or a weak/faulty ejector spring. Did you try running it on the suppressed gas setting? If so I didn't catch it. Trust me, I designed some smaller parts of this rifle and tested it when it was the Masada. Send the rifle back and tell Bushmaster about the ejector/carrier velocity. There is also a possibility you got a barrel with a .223 only chamber, this will cause issues.
KineticResearchGroup 1 year ago
@KineticResearchGroup Thanks for keeping up with the posts. I did send the rifle back to Bushmaster but have not heard anything back yet. I have not tried it on suppressed mode. As far as the .223 chamber goes, the barrel is marked 5.56 nato. The extractor spring seems OK although that could be an easy fix. At some point I will need to start replacing springs as I have over 4000 rounds through it. I will keep you posted. Tanks for watching.
jdeluisa 1 year ago
Jdeluisa, I have been following all your ACR vids and I have to say, that first you should either get your money back or at the very least, Bushy should replace it, like you would do in K-Mart when a product you bought turns out to be flawed!
Second, I think the sound FX you used to disguise the foul language were simply hilarious!
I hope you finally get what you paid for, which is a fully functioning Bushy ACR... Jams will occur, but not after 500 rounds! That is no good!
Kudos!

Man I'm sorry to see that your rifle is still malfunctioning brother!! I was inspecting mine and had reservations about the screws holding the rails to the interior of the upper, wonder

Wrong gas setting, I would bet on it. Helps to know what your doing.
dddsferme 1 year ago
Wow very shocked by this. I seriously hope that Bushmaster gives you a replacement.
MrBMWguy206 1 year ago
I'm thinking you got a dud gun. I've now seen various ACRs on youtube and in person and they go tons of rounds without a malfunction. Unfortunately it's going to take Bushmaster realizing and accepting it for this one though, and just doing a complete replacement instead of trying to fix various small things, firing 20 rounds through it and sending it back. It very much seems like the problem only presents itself once it gets hot which can be frustrating for the user and the gunsmith.
TheNandor 1 year ago
damn bushmaster fix the damn gun i want one but not if it is shit. maybe the remington one will be better but idk if that is selling to civilians.
