The Prowler was never meant to be a hat rod - it was designed to be a cruiser. There wasn't a speed part on that car - sans the huge run-flats on the back.

The Paxton unit is a roots-type kompressor that fits under the hood. BTW, I'll race you pink slips for that 3.5L 300M against an Intrepid R/T anytime - it's basically the same car and drivetrain - except the Intrepid weighs 300 lbs. less - it runs a faster ET - no joke.

I did not spend all my money on a turbo. I installed a Paxton Novi 1000 centrifical supercharger with 11lbs of boost. Unfortunatley I lost my original video footage and this was all I had.

How's the tranny holden up? Are those transmissions able to take the extra grunt?

As long as you never allow the tranny to go into 4th gear under Full Open Throttle and keep up with the tranny oil changes using ATF+4 or higher, your tranny will hold up.

I've had a few and when it came to race from a light to light scenario, I took them every time. While they were busy granny starting their 3800 lbs vehicle, I was already two car lengths ahead.
