This video is nonsense. It's author needs to read books on Early Christian House Churches based on archeological excavations in Syria, Spain, England, France, & Egypt. The temple or synagogue liturgy could not be performed in a person's home. The ultimate insult to Christ was when Church Leaders adopted the Imperial Trappings of the Empire that crucified their master. When Constantine made Christianity a State Religion; pagan ritual was added to worship. The Tridentine Mass is not Christian!
@cloudsurfer007 What you have stated is blasphemy. The tridentine Mass is surely Christian. Constantine DID NOT add paganism to Christianity because Christians are not pagans or idolators. The catholic church is the one true church.
The true church is a relationship, not a membership. It doesn't have a roof or

These two aspect of the liturgy are inseparable. Worship denotes a kind of honor, which in turn is a sign of esteem given a person for his excellence. But in religious matters, worship adds to honor or esteem the sense of one's own inferiority
Within the ambit of the Church's service, it is the special title of the Eucharist and the administration of the sacraments with the annexed use of the sacramentals. The clearest way to understand the liturgy is to see it as the exercise now on earth of Christ's priestly office, as distinct from the Church's teaching, which is Jesus continuing of his prophetic ministry, and the Church's rule and moral guidance, by which the Savior lives among his people as Christ the King.
The original Greek term leitourgia (from leos [people] and ergon [work]) was used of any public duty or service. But by the time of the Greek translation of the Old Testament in the third century before Christ, it had come to appy particularly to the service in the Temple. Liturgy in present-day usage referes to the offical public worship of the Church, and is thus distinguished from private devotion.
I don't understand about Mary. Why do Catholics must believe that Mary needs to be a virgin her whole life? The Bible clearly states against that. Anybody could read it and understand it.(Matthew 1:25; Matthew 13: 53-57) She is not less favorable in God's eyes because she stopped being a virgin with her husband. So why is this belief so important?
Firstly, this isn't uniquely Catholic; all Eastern Orthodox and the original Protestants (Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, etc.) all taught this doctrine. It comes straight from the apostles, and anyway who denies it as an enemy of Christ, as St. Basil said: "those who denied the virginity post partum are not the friends of Christ; they are not true Christians. You are totally misunderstanding the Bible. The belief is important because Mary held GOD in her womb; it would be an insult to his honour.
I don't know lets see what the Bible says Matthew 1:24, 25(New Revised Version)
"When Joseph awoke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him; he took her as his wife, 25but had no marital relations with her UNTIL she had borne a son; and he named him Jesus.
54And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? 55 Is not this the carpenters son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? 56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? "
While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. 47Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. 48But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? 49And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
I've heard all these arguments before, and they've been definitively answered since the 4th century by St. Jerome. Many fathers taught that the brothers mentioned here are Christ's brothers by his father St. Joseph in a previous marriage. Notice that they are never referred to as sons of Mary. Let Calvin answer you: "Helvidius displayed excessive ignorance in concluding that Mary must have had many sons, because Christ's 'brothers' are sometimes mentioned". St. Jerome said they were cousins.
I understand what you are saying however, where in the Bible is this proof. I don't know who St.Jerome is, I don't know who Calvin is. But I do know who the Lord is and I know every word he says is truth. So this proof should be written in the word of the Lord, the Bible, somewhere I think. Because there is alot of doctrine floating out there and all can't be true. I mean it is like she was a virgin all her life or not they both can't be true. So how can one know the truth but by the word.
I don't believe in scripture alone, and feel no need to justify my beliefs from it alone. We know the truth by reading His Sacred Word, and through the Sacred Tradition in the Church he established. If you want a 100% clear biblical statement that Mary is ever-virgin, it's not there. There is a prophecy from Ezekiel which reads: "This gate is to remain shut. It must not be opened; no one may enter through it. It is to remain shut because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered through it" (44).
1) But if the Sacred Tradition is conflicting with the Sacred Word which one should one use? Because we know the scripture is holy because of the truth it speaks which we can verify by living in this world but is the tradition the same as scripture? 2Tim.3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction, in righteousness"
2) I mean the thing is I read the scripture and it seems like Mary had other children. I mean if I give it to someone who doesn't know about Mary at all they will say she had other children by reading the same scripture. We both will come to the same conclusion. Now the scripture also says we must be unified not divided. 1Corinthians 1:10; Philippians 3:16
3)Also if you remember the conversation between the Sadducees and Jesus about the resurrection (Matthew 22:23-32), the Sadducees had this idea if the resurrection was real that the wife and husband will be together like on earth. I think people today have that same notion. But what does Jesus say "Ye do err not knowing the scripture nor the power of God" Their ideas had to coincide with scripture. Matt.15:3 Jesus says "Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?"
In regards to (1), Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition never contradict because they are protected from error by the same Holy Spirit. If they seem to contradict, then we do the same thing as if the Bible seems to contradict itself: we carefully examine context, the original language, etc., and if that doesn't work, we ask the authority of the Church (priests, bishops, the Pope) to explain how Tradition and Scripture are compatible.
In regards to (2), it's clear that someone ignorant of the ways of God can simply pick up a Bible and come up with the most bizarre and heretical ideas possible; a Jehovah's Witness thinks that John 17:3 "plainly teaches" that Christ isn't God; a docetic gnostic thinks that 1 Cor. 15 "plainly teaches" that Christ had no real body; and followers of Helvidius think that various passages teach that Our Lady had sexual intercouse. the problem is they all take verses out of the living context of
the Church and her Sacred Tradition, and ignoring the WHOLE of what the Bible says on a subject. Read the prophecy of Ezekiel 44 about Our Lady's perpetual virginity to see my point.
You say "Their ideas had to coincide with scripture"; I couldn't agree more, and I don't think you've proven (because it's impossible) that the Bible contradicts Mary's virginity. You are also taking Matt. 15 out of context. Our Lord is referring to human traditions that contradict scripture, not divine
traditions we teach exactly the same thing as scripture. These are the kinds of traditions St. Paul recommends (2 Thes. 2:15) when he says: "stand firm and hold to the TRADITIONS we passed on to you, whether by WORD OF MOUTH or by LETTER". Here he ranks oral tradition and written tradition (Scripture) at the same level of authority, because both come from God.
By the way, I recommend you read St. Jerome's treatise "Against Helvidius" which proves that St. Mary's pereptual virginity is actually a divine teaching, and that the Bible does not teach that heresy that she had many children. I'll send you a link to it privately. Please read it!
Ok, I read some of the Helvidius paper and I understood it for I heard such things from others before. I believe that the Bible is sacred and infallible and I am sure you will agree. Tradition today, however, should be written if we say it is coming from the Lord. For instance, you spoke of St. Paul. He spoke of "traditions" that he said and wrote to the Christians in Thessalonica(2Th.2:15) and that is just it!
2) We must remember at this time Paul did not have all the Bible as we so graciouly do today. Like Jesus, when he walked the earth he just had the Old Testament, for the New was not written for he was teaching and living the NT. Therefore, Jesus performed miracles to confirm that what he said was from God. Also of course his words which he spoke made sense and could be seen in everyday life.
3) Back to Paul, it was the same thing. The traditions like communion, worshipping on the Lord's day, preaching, or treating people right was traditions and commandments the apostles had to start and we must follow even today. We also must remember that the apostles like Paul taught. So Paul would have either told them waht to do in person or by epistle(letter).
4)1Corinthians11:34(last part) Paul is telling them he will tell them also what to do in person, yet as we know 1 Corinthians is also an epistle written to the Corinthians, who are Christians. So he is teaching them also by letter.
5)James 1:25 "But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." God also shows that we shouldn't take away or add from his word(Revelations 22:18,19; Proverbs 30:6) . For his word, law is already perfect. Also if you read Rev.20:12, you see we shall be judged by the books, not tradition.
If you want to have an extended discussion about the authority of tradition, I'd be happy to. Since at the moment we're arguing about Mary's virginity, I'd rather stick to that for now. :-)
Let me just say that the Bible teaches Mary's virginity post-partem in certain Old Testament types which have Mary as their anti-type. For example, the Ark of the Covenant could not be touched by anyone except the priests, foreshadowing that Mary would not make herself impure with anyone, consecrating herself entirely to the use of the High Priest, Our Lord. No one else could touch this vessel because of its holiness; no-one (including St. Joseph) could touch Mary.
Secondly, there is an argument from Christ's uniqueness. The perfection of Christ demands that Mary have no subsequent children than Him: Christ was begotten eternally by the Father from His own substance, that was His first birth, which happened without a mother. Likewise, His second birth was a human birth, which occurred without a Father. In both cases there was one son, and one son only. There is only one Son of God; there is only one Son of Mary. This doctrine defends Christ's perfection.
A third argument is that Mary was (and is) Christ's perfect servant and handmaid, and therefore always conforms herself to His will. Therefore, just as Christ was always a virgin whose marriage was to the Church alone, so Mary is Christ's spiritual bride just as the Church is Christ's spiritual bride. The Church will never have spiritual "intercourse" with anyone but her Bridegroom, likewise with Mary. In the OT intercourse with anyone but God for God's people was called "adultery", likewise
A fourth argument is that from the status of Mary as Mother of God. Christ was truly God, therefore Mary was Mother of God. If she held the person of God in her womb, it was consecrated with the most eminent and high holiness, because God is most eminently and highly holy. It follows that a woman used for such a high use could not be transferred to the profane use of intercourse, for this would demean the supernatural honour which God gave her by being born of her as a child.
1.Lets pause for a second, lets just remember we supposed to be following God and his truth. We have 400 different denominations in the world. Churches that say they following God but they say different things. One person one time asked why do they have different doctrines when they are reading from the same Bible. For we know by 2Pe.1:20&21, there is no "private interpretation" God doesn't approve of different interpretations of his word for he is not the "author of confusion"(1Co.14:33).
2.This is the reason I went back to what is the authority. The problem is not really Mary but what source we use to determine the truth about Mary, or baptism or salvation, etc. These things you just said are they proven by scripture? Is the scripture in Ezk.44:2 the true interpretation? You may ask how am I going to know if it is. By proving scripture with scripture.
3) For instance, when you said Jesus is the high priest, I believe it why? Because it is written in Heb.9:11. But what about Mary being the ark of covenant or the temple is this proven? I haven't seen it in here; however God does symbolize Christians as being the temple in the NT,1Co.3:16,17&6:18,19. And he does talk about that we shouldn't defile our bodies by resisting fornicating, but not by getting married and having relations, "Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled.."(Heb.13:4)
4)In other words, people will not be unified if we don't agree upon the sources of truth. 1Pe.1:22 talks about "purifying your souls in obeying the truth" Jn.17:17 states "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth" Back to 1Pe.1:25 "But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the Gospel is preached unto you" The gospel is the truth and we can purify our souls through the gospel. I don't see anything else here we can purify our souls with.
6)Some churches say if they are sincere it is okay if they are not going by sound doctrine. Jn.4:24 "God is a spirit: and they that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and in TRUTH(By Josh.24:11, you can see that spirit means sincerity) So we must know how to worship him as well. For in Rom.10:1-3 Paul spoke how the Jews had a zeal for God but they didn't worship according to knowledge therefore, they were "establishing their own righteousness not God's"
I will like you to remember however that Truth makes sense in anything even religion, for whatever is the truth here about the world and everything in it and God, it must make sense.
But before you read that I will like you to give me your interpretation on Mk.16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." What does this mean to you?
Secondly, in John we read that our Lord entrusted Mary to the care of St. John after His crucifixion. Clearly, if Mary had had other sons than our Lord, He would have given Mary to their care, not to that of a stranger. (Obviously St. Joseph was dead by that time, which fits in with the view of some Fathers that he was an older man than Mary who had previously been married and had other children, who were the brothers of our Lord.)
The "until" argument is also faulty. The word is "heos" in Greek and means "up till" or "up to" with no implication that the status changed after the event referred to. For example, "I am with you always, until the end of the world", in which Christ will remain with the faithful even after the end of the world. Or "no son was born to Michol, the daughter of Saul UNTIL her dying day".

Iglesia Ni Cristo in Philippines is a false church founded by a Filipino name Felix Manano, claim to be an angel. In their main doctrine Jesus-christ is not a begotten son from the father but a mere humman created by God. Sorry Winterbaboy but that's true in your church. You elevate Manalo as an angel while Jesus-Christ is just a mere human being.
kiddo you should extend your knowledge in the bible first before you comment something like this, ANGEL means messenger of God but it's not literally angle with the wings that the one you know, our Almighty God made Jesus as Lord Christ, savior and mediator between God and man, our lord Jesus Christ is the one who founded and establish the Church of Christ during his time, if you want to know more about bible check out the nearest Iglesia ni Cristo church in your place and ask the minister there
I really liked your video and your channel. If you need any help getting this video or channel exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. God Bless!
People are so confuse about who is the true church? they are more guesting game. only the the bilble can answers the question, by means of a true messenger of God reveal on to him, consult Iglesia ni Cristo (church of christ) Ministers location near you, and you will be amaze to what you will uncover, the truth. also will set you free.
catholicism is the true church, the true inffalible church of jesus christ and was initiated by him. Peter is the rock and is the first pope...and we as catholics also protestants as well are called to participate in his church...and we shouldn't fitgh with the protestants cause they are fallen away brethren
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Peter is not "the Rock". The rock is believing Christ is the Son of God. There is no "Pope" in the Bible. The Pope is the richest person on earth. Now look at Jesus and the Apostles and the wealth they had compared to the Pope... something is wrong there and it smells like fire and brimstone!
Thats not true I was born into catholic it did not mean that they are the right religion As far as my opinion goes I am a Baptist Christ is Holy We dont pray to any other than Jesus Christ
@ArtByLindaLee LINDA THERE IS ONLY ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH, THAT IS THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IS THE ONLY CHURCH THAT CAN PROVE IT'S ROOTS TO CHRIST,
READ CHURCH HISTORY, ALSO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH HAD 3 LARGE SPLITS ONE OF THEM FROM MARTIN LUTHER, A CATHOLIC PRIEST, THAT SPLIT DID THE MOST DAMAGE TO THE CHURCH THERE ARE OVER 25.000 THOUSAND CHURCH SECTS, THAT ALL CLAIM TO BE THE TRUE CHURCH,
BUT MANY CANT EVEN GET ALONG, ALSO DO YOUR HOME WORK,
@ArtByLindaLee PART 2, DO YOU YOU KNOW HOW THE NEW TESTAMENT WAS PUT TOGETHER, YES YOU GOT IT BY THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, THE CATHOLIC BISHOPS PRAYED TO THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND ELIMINATED ALL THE OTHER THOUSAND OF FALSE DOCUMENTS IN CIRCULATION, THAT IS THE NEW TESTAMENT THAT YOUR YOU ARE HOLDING IN YOUR HAND, AND YES WE ONLY BELIEVE JESUS CAN SAVE, BUT WE ALSO BELIEVE HE HAS MANY INSTRUMENTS THAT BRING US CLOSER TO HIM,
WE DON'T PRAY TO MARY, AND THE SAINTS WE JUST VENERATE THEM.
Oh I love this man, Scott Hahn, for he always brings very important facts and truth down to simple language for all to understand and believe. This is great!
YOur name on this - it may be a bit blasphemous and arrogant :)-
I don't think it's respectful to our Lord Jesus Christ considering he is God 2nd person of the blessed trinity you are putting a label Protestant stating he IS- something of which he is not because Protestant- the Reformation- is of Man- sinful man- and you apply such a name to Our Lord and Savior?
Scott Hahn is an amazing man in the way he can explains the bible. He's been there done that, wore the t-shirt and we should listen to what he has to say.God bless him.

Some say these were cousins.
But we read other scriptures making distinctions between brothers, sisters, and cousins for instance
Lu.1:36
And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
Here it does not say sister Elisabeth but cousin and other scriptures would say kinsmen to refer to relatives.
kikyoC 2 years ago
I've heard all these arguments before, and they've been definitively answered since the 4th century by St. Jerome. Many fathers taught that the brothers mentioned here are Christ's brothers by his father St. Joseph in a previous marriage. Notice that they are never referred to as sons of Mary. Let Calvin answer you: "Helvidius displayed excessive ignorance in concluding that Mary must have had many sons, because Christ's 'brothers' are sometimes mentioned". St. Jerome said they were cousins.
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
I understand what you are saying however, where in the Bible is this proof. I don't know who St.Jerome is, I don't know who Calvin is. But I do know who the Lord is and I know every word he says is truth. So this proof should be written in the word of the Lord, the Bible, somewhere I think. Because there is alot of doctrine floating out there and all can't be true. I mean it is like she was a virgin all her life or not they both can't be true. So how can one know the truth but by the word.
kikyoC 2 years ago
I don't believe in scripture alone, and feel no need to justify my beliefs from it alone. We know the truth by reading His Sacred Word, and through the Sacred Tradition in the Church he established. If you want a 100% clear biblical statement that Mary is ever-virgin, it's not there. There is a prophecy from Ezekiel which reads: "This gate is to remain shut. It must not be opened; no one may enter through it. It is to remain shut because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered through it" (44).
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
1) But if the Sacred Tradition is conflicting with the Sacred Word which one should one use? Because we know the scripture is holy because of the truth it speaks which we can verify by living in this world but is the tradition the same as scripture? 2Tim.3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction, in righteousness"
kikyoC 2 years ago
2) I mean the thing is I read the scripture and it seems like Mary had other children. I mean if I give it to someone who doesn't know about Mary at all they will say she had other children by reading the same scripture. We both will come to the same conclusion. Now the scripture also says we must be unified not divided. 1Corinthians 1:10; Philippians 3:16
kikyoC 2 years ago
3)Also if you remember the conversation between the Sadducees and Jesus about the resurrection (Matthew 22:23-32), the Sadducees had this idea if the resurrection was real that the wife and husband will be together like on earth. I think people today have that same notion. But what does Jesus say "Ye do err not knowing the scripture nor the power of God" Their ideas had to coincide with scripture. Matt.15:3 Jesus says "Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?"

Thanks for replying.
In regards to (1), Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition never contradict because they are protected from error by the same Holy Spirit. If they seem to contradict, then we do the same thing as if the Bible seems to contradict itself: we carefully examine context, the original language, etc., and if that doesn't work, we ask the authority of the Church (priests, bishops, the Pope) to explain how Tradition and Scripture are compatible.
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
In regards to (2), it's clear that someone ignorant of the ways of God can simply pick up a Bible and come up with the most bizarre and heretical ideas possible; a Jehovah's Witness thinks that John 17:3 "plainly teaches" that Christ isn't God; a docetic gnostic thinks that 1 Cor. 15 "plainly teaches" that Christ had no real body; and followers of Helvidius think that various passages teach that Our Lady had sexual intercouse. the problem is they all take verses out of the living context of
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
the Church and her Sacred Tradition, and ignoring the WHOLE of what the Bible says on a subject.
Our Lord is referring to human traditions that contradict scripture, not divine
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
traditions we teach exactly the same thing as scripture. These are the kinds of traditions St. Paul recommends (2 Thes. 2:15) when he says: "stand firm and hold to the TRADITIONS we passed on to you, whether by WORD OF MOUTH or by LETTER". Here he ranks oral tradition and written tradition (Scripture) at the same level of authority, because both come from God.
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
By the way, I recommend you read St. Jerome's treatise "Against Helvidius" which proves that St. Mary's pereptual virginity is actually a divine teaching, and that the Bible does not teach that heresy that she had many children. I'll send you a link to it privately. Please read it!
God bless.
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
Ok, I read some of the Helvidius paper and I understood it for I heard such things from others before. I believe that the Bible is sacred and infallible and I am sure you will agree. Tradition today, however, should be written if we say it is coming from the Lord. For instance, you spoke of St. Paul. He spoke of "traditions" that he said and wrote to the Christians in Thessalonica(2Th.2:15) and that is just it!
kikyoC 2 years ago
2) We must remember at this time Paul did not have all the Bible as we so graciouly do today. Like Jesus, when he walked the earth he just had the Old Testament, for the New was not written for he was teaching and living the NT. Therefore, Jesus performed miracles to confirm that what he said was from God. Also of course his words which he spoke made sense and could be seen in everyday life.
kikyoC 2 years ago
3) Back to Paul, it was the same thing. The traditions like communion, worshipping on the Lord's day, preaching, or treating people right was traditions and commandments the apostles had to start and we must follow even today. We also must remember that the apostles like Paul taught. So Paul would have either told them waht to do in person or by epistle(letter).
kikyoC 2 years ago
4)1Corinthians11:34(last part) Paul is telling them he will tell them also what to do in person, yet as we know 1 Corinthians is also an epistle written to the Corinthians, who are Christians. So he is teaching them also by letter.
But is this the same thing we should do today?
kikyoC 2 years ago
5)James 1:25 "But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." God also shows that we shouldn't take away or add from his word(Revelations 22:18,19; Proverbs 30:6) . For his word, law is already perfect. Also if you read Rev.20:12, you see we shall be judged by the books, not tradition.
kikyoC 2 years ago
If you want to have an extended discussion about the authority of tradition, I'd be happy to. Since at the moment we're arguing about Mary's virginity, I'd rather stick to that for now. :-)
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
Let me just say that the Bible teaches Mary's virginity post-partem in certain Old Testament types which have Mary as their anti-type. For example, the Ark of the Covenant could not be touched by anyone except the priests, foreshadowing that Mary would not make herself impure with anyone, consecrating herself entirely to the use of the High Priest, Our Lord. No one else could touch this vessel because of its holiness; no-one (including St. Joseph) could touch Mary.
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
Secondly, there is an argument from Christ's uniqueness. The perfection of Christ demands that Mary have no subsequent children than Him: Christ was begotten eternally by the Father from His own substance, that was His first birth, which happened without a mother. Likewise, His second birth was a human birth, which occurred without a Father. In both cases there was one son, and one son only. There is only one Son of God; there is only one Son of Mary. This doctrine defends Christ's perfection.
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
A third argument is that Mary was (and is) Christ's perfect servant and handmaid, and therefore always conforms herself to His will. Therefore, just as Christ was always a virgin whose marriage was to the Church alone, so Mary is Christ's spiritual bride just as the Church is Christ's spiritual bride. The Church will never have spiritual "intercourse" with anyone but her Bridegroom, likewise with Mary. In the OT intercourse with anyone but God for God's people was called "adultery", likewise
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
for Mary to have "intercourse" with St. Joseph would break her unique consecration as Bride of Christ, just as the Church is Bride of Christ.
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
A fourth argument is that from the status of Mary as Mother of God. Christ was truly God, therefore Mary was Mother of God. If she held the person of God in her womb, it was consecrated with the most eminent and high holiness, because God is most eminently and highly holy. It follows that a woman used for such a high use could not be transferred to the profane use of intercourse, for this would demean the supernatural honour which God gave her by being born of her as a child.
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
She is the temple of God, his dwelling place. Have respect for that!
baldwalrus7 2 years ago
1.Lets pause for a second, lets just remember we supposed to be following God and his truth. We have 400 different denominations in the world. Churches that say they following God but they say different things. One person one time asked why do they have different doctrines when they are reading from the same Bible. For we know by 2Pe.1:20&21, there is no "private interpretation" God doesn't approve of different interpretations of his word for he is not the "author of confusion"(1Co.14:33).
kikyoC 2 years ago 2
2.This is the reason I went back to what is the authority. The problem is not really Mary but what source we use to determine the truth about Mary, or baptism or salvation, etc. These things you just said are they proven by scripture? Is the scripture in Ezk.44:2 the true interpretation? You may ask how am I going to know if it is. By proving scripture with scripture.
kikyoC 2 years ago
3) For instance, when you said Jesus is the high priest, I believe it why? Because it is written in Heb.9:11. But what about Mary being the ark of covenant or the temple is this proven? I haven't seen it in here; however God does symbolize Christians as being the temple in the NT,1Co.3:16,17&6:18,19. And he does talk about that we shouldn't defile our bodies by resisting fornicating, but not by getting married and having relations, "Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled.."(Heb.13:4)
kikyoC 2 years ago
4)In other words, people will not be unified if we don't agree upon the sources of truth. 1Pe.1:22 talks about "purifying your souls in obeying the truth" Jn.17:17 states "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth" Back to 1Pe.1:25 "But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the Gospel is preached unto you" The gospel is the truth and we can purify our souls through the gospel. I don't see anything else here we can purify our souls with.
kikyoC 2 years ago
6)Some churches say if they are sincere it is okay if they are not going by sound doctrine. Jn.4:24 "God is a spirit: and they that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and in TRUTH(By Josh.24:11, you can see that spirit means sincerity) So we must know how to worship him as well. For in Rom.10:1-3 Paul spoke how the Jews had a zeal for God but they didn't worship according to knowledge therefore, they were "establishing their own righteousness not God's"

I will like you to remember however that Truth makes sense in anything even religion, for whatever is the truth here about the world and everything in it and God, it must make sense.
kikyoC 2 years ago
I replied to your second email.
But before you read that I will like you to give me your interpretation on Mk.16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." What does this mean to you?
kikyoC 2 years ago
Secondly, in John we read that our Lord entrusted Mary to the care of St. John after His crucifixion. Clearly, if Mary had had other sons than our Lord, He would have given Mary to their care, not to that of a stranger. (Obviously St. Joseph was dead by that time, which fits in with the view of some Fathers that he was an older man than Mary who had previously been married and had other children, who were the brothers of our Lord.)
baldwalrus7 2 years ago

You elevate Manalo as an angel while Jesus-Christ is just a mere human being.
chinitoboy27 2 years ago
kiddo you should extend your knowledge in the bible first before you comment something like this, ANGEL means messenger of God but it's not literally angle with the wings that the one you know, our Almighty God made Jesus as Lord Christ, savior and mediator between God and man, our lord Jesus Christ is the one who founded and establish the Church of Christ during his time, if you want to know more about bible check out the nearest Iglesia ni Cristo church in your place and ask the minister there
