I guess it's because jazz is not really having a "form"... or unusual to many people... but to many musicians, they like it because of the complex nature of the beat I guess...

This is typical of the snobbish academic view of jazz that has sucked the soul and inspiration out of the music and turned "traditional" jazz a la Wynton into dusty, boring museum pieces. That's the reason most people don't listen to jazz because "it's boring". Its because of people like Victor that there is actual progression and creativity left in the art form.
